But the same reason why he could become a hidden gem is the same reason why he might fall.Well there is.
He was considered a potential #1 pick at the U/16’s level, was rated as highly as Cerra and Stephenson.
Injury has ruined his last 2 years, being out of the TAC Cup spotlight when he could of played as a 16 year old has added to that. He also hasn’t grown since back then.
The talent is still there, definitely enough to go in the top 25.
Another mock draft that doesn't seem to have taken a look at the Eagles current list. We have players already on our list who are tall forward prospects (Waterman, M Allen); meanwhile we lack inside midfielders.
I reckon all three will go outside top 20. Flair bet?You reckon 1 will go outside of top 20?
I'll consider taking that bet, depends what is on the line?
The only risk would be us bidding on Naish at 16, and even that we've cooled on. Can't see how any of these go top 20 otherwise, let alone all three.I want in on this as well.
Who's going to bid on Naish or Ballenden inside the top 20?
No one is going to Bid on Ballenden before pick 15. After pick 15, it's the Bulldogs and Richmond who the Lions traded favourably with during the trade period, and Gold Coast, and the two QLD clubs don't bid on each others academy kids.
Personally I have Melbourne bidding at Ballenden at 29, simply because Melbourne have form for such a thing. Twats.
Despite Twomey's ratings, Naish isn't a first round talent, and none of the clubs with later first round picks will bid on Naish. There's even a good chance Naish goes later than pick 23. If North don't bid at 23, Geelong won't due to Geelong and Richmond trading second and third round picks and will have a gentleman's agreement in place.
Spargo is small, and despite talent, small players always fall in the draft. Being out of sight due to injury won't have helped Spargo's draft stocks.
Is it just me or is O'Brien at the Swans first pick (14) a little bit of a stretch?? I understand the needs side of the equation but get the feeling he'd end up closer to our second pick than out first if we went another way.
I want in on this as well.

Yep I want in on this bet. Can't see any of the three in question going before 26.
Don't rate Spargo at 23?
Get the feeling they're pick someone else there.
Reading the write up he sounds like a good fit at 23, his dad played for North too.
Can you divulge who North might be looking at?

None of them will go top 20Charlie Spargo at 23, Patrick Naish at 27, Connor Ballenden at 32... having an absolute laugh, all will go top 20.
All good mate.I did. I was just expanding on it. Sorry if I sounded patronising.
Pretty simple I would have thought. Different clubs rate players differentlyYes that made no logical sense to me either
fwiw, I don't recon there's much of a fight for him. Not sure if you saw the WAFL finals, but Nyhuis toweled him twice. The whole Ryan speculation is laughable
Laughable in that there was 0 reason not to rookie him last year by the Eagles. Anyone with half a brain could forsee this outcome (plays well in 2017 for Subiaco and then there is a fight for him in the draft). Absolute morons the Eagles list people are
Also, I don't think Allen will be at West Coast next year
I reckon all three will go outside top 20. Flair bet?
Sounds good to me. Bet is on!Sounds fair, heres the official terms....
All 3 go top 20 = I win
All 3 go outside top 20 = you win
If its mix and match (some inside/some outside top 20) = drawn bet
Avatar control for a month for the winner (if there is one)?
