That 6 week ''study tour'' was hard to knock back and who knows, North might suit me better in a year or two. I'll take over from Cam Vale then.

From the article he never really decided to come to us although he came close, plus "There was something not quite right. I hadn't, for instance, carried out a huge due diligence and I normally do these things in these big life decisions and I hadn't done that," Cook said. He states that the final decision was made more with the heart but the not carrying out a full due diligence suggests that it was his head and heart that made the final decision. We now move on.
 
I think he was more annoyed with Carter than he was keen about changing, otherwise he would have done the due diligence. He used the opportunity to get Carter off his back. Sheedy made a career out of playing Richmond's interest against Essendon to get a great new contract.

I am sure Cook just doesn't want to come out and say he played the various parties to get what he wants, would make him look petty. :p
 
He has made the right decision for himself if his heart is at the Cats. Loyalty is strong character trait, it probably gives you more of a insight into what sorta person Cook is. We've seen it with the players on our list being hunted down by GWS.
