We kept kicking to Freo's loose man. It was no different to the GC game.
Plus he played Adams and Wright when they are clearly out of form. He backed in them and its his call but today showed it was a bad call. Another bad call by Brad. Plenty of blame can be laid at Brads feet and so it should be.

That's crap, when the players had a crack in the 1st and 3 qtrs, we were getting reward for effort and actually threatening to kick a few goals and looked very good, when the players got Slack in the 2nd and 4th qtrs they kicked away, we played 2 qtrs today not 4, players fault.

Look at what Brisbane just did with their spud coach and list that we had 2 years head start on.

Lions have equal amount of wins than us and with Neeld now gone, Scott is the number 1 AFL coach in the cross hairs at the moment.

I can't imagine a coach under more pressure at the moment, at the same time none of them have his length if contract.

Hope he can turn it around or all our sakes. As embarrassing as we might be on the field atm, the two contract extensions are proving the most embarrassing mistake we have made recently.

BUMP

Where are you Scott haters tonight?? Nothing wrong with his game plan when we have our best midfield in I see.

Hope you didn't cheer once today when he coached the pants off Hardwick !!!

Crawl back under your logs with your tails between your legs !!!

Lets not get carried away Hardwick is a spud of a coach himself.....

When things go his way he is excellent. And today the Tigers had no say.
My only issue is when things dont go his way. He is still learning and when you win, doesnt matter how you do it, winnings winning. But I want to see him orchestrate a win when down or challenged.
Next week present an excellent opportunity for us to consolidate our form.

And thats been the problem so far, he fails to makes "moves" to adjust....Combating issues that arise....

Yeah, to be fair Hardwick had no idea what to do today.

We went with Lachie the floating spare, Hardwick then played another forward who BS then manned up to keep Lachie spare. We had the 8 defenders, every other time this has happened we have been burnt coming off the HBF, but Richmond just weren't able to muster up everything.

Yes, our defensive pressure was great (even Boomer chasing), but Hardwick and Richmond, clearly couldn't emulate what other teams have done to beat us.

Fair bump. This and the posts of "****off Scott, we needed five changes to the team, it's a joke,I've had it" came into my head briefly yesterday too.

Reasonable to call a coach or player on a bad game. But if you bundle it up into saying they are shit and need to go, you can suck it up when you are shown up as wrong.

And who selects the midfield? Will you be crawling back next time we lose? Seriously.

After one win against a team coached by Hardwick!! We all know he can coach against shit coaches, its against teams that have coaches that force us out of our comfort zone that he has no clue. Good win yesterday but let's keep it in our pants until we play quality teams.

I'll reserve judgement after the next 3 games. If we can get three wins and Brad can beat a Malthouse led Carlton, I'll be more satisfied with his performance.

I'm more worried about the brisbane game this wwek than the blues game.

I agree.

When opposition teams lock our run and apply pressure where we are forced to quick kick a Hail Mary in hope, Brad hasnt come out yet and changed a few things mid game to manufacture a strategy to play the game again on our terms.

The quality teams we led easily at times before "the players" wavered from the game plan or got comfortable? Maybe we just carried out the game plan for longer yesterday! We are a young group after all! We have improved a lot this year as our percentage shows because our losses are close because we are hard to beat now! I will say we need to be better when it's wet as the Gold Coast, freo and Geelong losses show

So now it's Brad's fault JZ missed 3 really important games through suspension & Cunners the last 2 with family problems?

Bloke can't do a thing right in your eyes !!!

Who's talking about Jack. I'm talking continually picking under performing players. I'm talking about the inability to think his way through quality coaches strategy. You're the one getting excited over a win against a poorly coached team in Richmond. Some people just can't see the obvious for their blind faith maybe?

His best move has been Hansen to the backline. Greenwood and Hine give us a more defensive and desperate edge.

Watch the first quarter against St Kilda again and you will see Hansen and Scott T rack up 22 disposals on Riewoldt and run off him.

On a dry day he is taking 12 - 15 marks, spoiling anything in the air and helping out Scott T and Grima.

His work rate is impressive. Hansen gave away a free trying to block for Petrie in our goal square and managed to run 100+ to intercept mark the Richmond counterattack in our D50.

Plenty eggs smashed over the shameless faceless. :D

And that includes plenty in the footy media who wrote North off for the eight only a short time ago. (Shame shame shame Ch7 Sport desk). It's fair to say the players were switched on and bothered doing the 1%ers that is essential is winning by a creditable margin. Remember that there isn't much that separates the 5th to 10th team in this league in any given year.
On the radio, a 'commentator with a clue' actually said something truly factual about North which was that 'North should be TOP 5 atm if they finished off games with little better' (read: smarter). Brad Scott hasn't regressed, only players minds have when they least could afford to. A 30pt lead with 10min to play is anyone's game that given a chance, even the AFL love child teams can overrun any opposition on any given day if they decide to put the cue in the rack.

That's less about the coaching and more about players complacency.

Well done Brad Scott.. your players kept it going even of most of us thought the result was decided. That's the difference between winning and losing nowadays. Gotta keep going 'til the final bell.

You're building up Carlton way too much!!
Alex Marcou retired years ago!! :D

Bottom line: North can beat any team on any given day if they play for each other. Carlton and their 'mastermind' in the box isn't scaring anyone.

lose a string of awful games, but then beat richmond and all is forgiven?

Yeah seems that way, in fairness Richmond have beaten Melbourne, ST Kilda and Western Bulldogs.

Am sure the rude awakening will be when we venture outside to play, probably only a week away.

It was more of a point that Malthouse does have the potential to test Brads ability to adapt to a change in tactics.

By all means our list $hits on theirs :D
