Bye Bye Nobles

I agree, I just want to go further than noble

And we will.

Assessing Armafio, Rawlings and co is going to take longer, which I why Walsh has been engaged.

Noble is different as he must go now as performances indicate that quite obviously.

He is the head coach and we are an absolute joke of a team under his "coaching".

The others well, let's see what happens.

Rightly or wrongly, he is the head coach and we are an absolute joke of a team under his "coaching".

Stop being a peanut if possible - you know that the Walsh review will not be looking at Amarfio.

As stated publicly, Walsh is reporting through to Amarfio, and then subsequently, the Board. I'd be amazed if Amarfio is immediate fallout from the review.

If there are mass changes within the football department, then I would expect that Amarfio would be asked to present to the board as to how it went wrong under his watch and may then come under scrutiny and review from Sonja and co.

Percentage less than 50 for 2022 as well. Truly horrendous.
Like Is this frigin club serious. 5 wins in 2years and they have to do a review. Sack him today get it over with . They’re making it more painful that should be .

Yeah I've posited a few times that we over corrected on adjusting the pre season and I think it would explain a few things. The gameplan aspect of it just baffles me though.
The point was that pre- seasons are multi-dimensional.

Clubs can get some aspects right and some wrong. We got a lot wrong - let's just take skill execution which has arguably gone backwards from a low base. So what do the best clubs do in this area? Well they get kicking experts in who have biomechanical knowledge and can teach. A bit like very good golf and tennis coaches who work individually with players to work with an around their specific idiosyncrasies. They don't just get in guys who had brilliant skills themselves because those guys don't necessarily know how to correct or work with different techniques. Some clubs are great at improving players' skills after they walk in - like Geelong and Sydney. We have been useless at it.

All the rockets and bakes in the world don't fix kicking technique. Otherwise golf coaches and caddies would start berating their players mid tournament, mid round - doesn't happen.

Then there's the issue of why preseason is so important. You can't recover throughout the season when you get too many aspects wrong, and we did.

No that isn't correct.
The CEO is not part of the football department.

You clearly do not understand corporate structures.

The CEO has a responsibility for all parts of an organisation but that doesn't mean they are part of the football department, HR department, membership department etc even though they all report to the CEO. The role of the CEO is over arching above each department.

So what is he a part of then?

Above any review is that what you are suggesting?

You are entitled to your opinion, but I assure you his position will be looked at by Walsh whether you you like it or not.

Yep.

Amarfio would be neck deep in The Arden Street Redevelopment. Giving him the flick now would be pretty catastrophic in relation to what we see as securing our financial future.

Big picture, etc, etc.

Agree he has to go now. We have set a record for most large losses and are on track to having the lowest % in VFL/AFL history. If the Club doesn’t have a basic short/long term plan for the Coaches removal mapped out now, then they should also go.

I hear what you're saying and yes, he would be involved, but Nadine Cohen was recruited into the organisation as GM Government Relations specifically to oversee our engagement with the Victorian Government around the Arden project. She would be more hands-on than anybody in this regard.

He ain't doing the grunt work in this regard.
