I’ve been an advocate that he will come good, had a cracking final but his still along off being the best in his draft.

Has taken a little while to develop Dan but he's 23. He literally could have 10 elite years of AFL and 4 or 5 AA selections by the end of his career.huh? what is everyone talking about? played a decent game. 3 goals, 16 touches. 1 goal from a questionable free kick.
I literally said he needed to kick 5 goals in each game to make up the lost ground for his horrendous career and regular season. So he fell 2 goals short...
Oh you ‘literally said’ did you, well standard sethuh? what is everyone talking about? played a decent game. 3 goals, 16 touches. 1 goal from a questionable free kick.

Does he have to be the best in his draft? Can be close to it as a mid power forward, help his team win games and possibly a flag. Wouldn't that be what he was recruited for?I’ve been an advocate that he will come good, had a cracking final but his still along off being the best in his draft.

It was so good to see everyone again. I think it was round 4 since Brisbane fans dared to show their faces here. It's been a long wait.
Although for some reason no-one can explain their absence
So Rayner can play 2 good games a season. What a burn! you guys got meThe longer a player goes with doing nothing, the closer they are to doing something. Pretty funny that people just forget the last 20 weeks

Next season. 14-16 possessions, 1 goal a game. I correctly predicted this last pre-season. I'll nail it again.Has taken a little while to develop Dan but he's 23. He literally could have 10 elite years of AFL and 4 or 5 AA selections by the end of his career.
Gee I hope the Dees make it through to the prelim. An all time backfire awaits you.Next season. 14-16 possessions, 1 goal a game. I correctly predicted this last pre-season. I'll nail it again.
Lets relax a little here yeah?Has taken a little while to develop Dan but he's 23. He literally could have 10 elite years of AFL and 4 or 5 AA selections by the end of his career.
RemindMe! 3 weeks.Lets relax a little here yeah?
He is still a long long long way from being a star... He is currently projecting more of a Rohan than he is a 5x AA type player.
He clearly has the ability to take over games, he is definitely an AFL calibre player but yikes he has a long way to go to get to AA level yet alone maintain it.
I am not sure what you think these next 3 weeks are going to prove? I said he can take over games, i have seen him do it quite a few times. He is a good player, not great, not a star, not someone who on exposed form should be getting talked about as a potential 5x AA which would be all time great territory.RemindMe! 3 weeks.
The Rohan comparison is so tired and reeks of not watching a player properly.
No chance Dees go out in straight setsGee I hope the Dees make it through to the prelim. An all time backfire awaits you.

Now that could change, but on exposed form he has a LONG way to go.
Also the 'not watching properly argument' is so lame. You want to debate it then do so
Mate, get off afltables and actually focus on the footy itself. Quite a bit of his contribution doesn't hit the stat sheet.Next season. 14-16 possessions, 1 goal a game. I correctly predicted this last pre-season. I'll nail it again.

That’s fine as well, I’m not trying to hate on him at all. He’s a fine player, but let’s just not go too far the other way to a certain poster. Still young, has talent and can take over games. You’d think over the next 3-5 years we will see his best and fingers crossed we see it on a regular basis. He is certainly a ways away from being an AA player. That said, if he can get his fitness up another level he will be able to spend a lot more time around the ball. We've seen what he's able to do with 15 touches. Give him 20+ a game and he will go up another level.
Being honest, I am not sure he'll ever be a H&A season A grader as he has always struck me as a player who performs at an A grade level in big games only. If we have to settle for him being Mr September over a Brownlow/AA player, I'll take it!
No my original post was replying to someone who did though… that was the entire point of my point that you replied to and were taking offence over…Mate, get off afltables and actually focus on the footy itself. Quite a bit of his contribution doesn't hit the stat sheet.
- he's already a great player. Good players can't pull the s**t he does. With greater consistency he has star potential.
- I never said anything about 5x AA. Wait until he gets in the 40 before predicting such accolades.

The Rohan comparison is so overused and it's the kind of shit spouted by Champion Data fiends; some of which happen to be the game's most influential journalists. That's what made me see red (pun intended, lmao). FWIW he'd make a good League player. He is still a long long long way from being a star... Or it is a very rough comparison that highlights some of the issues in his game that he needs to improve on to become a star player, because he is not one yet.The Rohan comparison is so overused and it's the kind of s**t spouted by Champion Data fiends; some of which happen to be the game's most influential journalists. That's what I am hoping as well. Our games against the Dees are great to watch usually. No chance Dees go out in straight sets
Extremely rough. Honestly I don't see anything of Rohan in him. I know Rohan has played the occasional blinder, but I don't think he's ever taken a game by the scruff of the neck the way Rayner did on Saturday night.Or it is a very rough comparison that highlights some of the issues in his game that he needs to improve on to become a star player, because he is not one yet.

Rohan had 14 disposals and 3 goals in last years QF.
He was sensational and the mark and goal he took at the 24th minute mark of the final quarter was epic.
Better performance than Rayner's on the weekend.
Good joke.
