Shaitan has led me down a slippery path more often than i care to mention, and he has always been adament about one thing. Bomber Thompson CANT coach.

Whats the truth in this statement. Seb always said his on field tactics were appalling?

Thanks Dave.

Seb also thought Mackie was a bad pick up.
His credibilty is starting to sink to Yze_Tragic level. ;)

For Christ's sake.

I was critical of the club for keeping our first-round draft pick - who was heralded as the next James Hird - wrapped in cotten wool for a considerable amount of time.

Things were looking grim. I was starting to wonder if the controversial decision was scrutinised realistically. I love Andrew Mackie though, the way he attacks the footy is second-to-none.

RE: Thompson, I still believe he is a shocking gameday coach. He has a set routine and sticks to it - never works miracles, if you like ;)

Creswell and Hinkley have made all the difference, IMO.

I have to say I'm far from convinced with Bomber on match day. In the past when we've seen plan A fail, usually there is no plan B and changes are too long in coming.

Cats are playing with a lot of confidence, but when ther confidence goes down, I'm not sure Bomber has enough man-management skills to lift them. For example the losses to St kilda and Calton hurt mainly not because they were losses, but because they were utter capitulations with no pride shown in the jumper.

We've had 5 wins now, but none that you would really class as really good. We always beat Melbourne at KP and Essendon haven't shown anything to suggest they are anything other than a middle-of-the-table team. If we beat a full-strength-committed PA at AAMI next week (as opposed to the rabble that showed against the kangaroos), then we can be impressed.

Well right now his doing a great job...I was a bit hesitant of bomber before last week, but his three quarter time speech must have done wonders....
