I would be more than happy with either Judd or Stevo as captain.
I think the South Africa tour will name our captain, for sure. See who leads the bestGee Ratts speaks well. I'm glad that the club are going through a pretty thorough process of naming the leadership group, and then the captain out of that group.
This 17 day camp to South Africa I reckon will round out our pre-season beautifully. A great bonding exercise - just what our list needs.
Judd doesn't need the extra pressure.
Ha ha ha....Captain of a premiership side, captain while the WC cultural problem media furore dragged out and the centrepiece of the biggest football trade of the past 15 years. Do you really think captaining a side that finished second last in 07 and last the year before is too much pressure for him?Judd doesn't need the extra pressure.
I think he refers to the pressure of being at a new club with so many expectations., just to clear that up.Ha ha ha....Captain of a premiership side, captain while the WC cultural problem media furore dragged out and the centrepiece of the biggest football trade of the past 15 years. There is no such thing as pressure, it's just a word.I think he refers to the pressure of being at a new club with so many expectations., just to clear that up.

I would also be happy with Simmo leading the group , otherwise I like the leadership group of Judd , Stevo , Simmo , Carrazzo and Murph as you suggested . Waite I'm sure could also fit in to that group . As for Judd , I dont think he is that keen on outright captaincy and Stevo has probably earned a stint at it while Simmo accounted for himself exceptionally well last season in that role as Ratten pointed out himself in the article . Good reading that article btw .I agree, but I don't think 'pressure' is the issue.
I would be happy for either Stevo or Judd. I suspect the playing group will vote for Judd, although ideally you would like to have Judd just go out and play and get a feel for everyone for one season before taking on the captaincy. Either way it will be great to have leaders like Judd, Stevo, Simmo, Carrazzo and Murph in the middle next year.
We really should improve alot next year, no excuses.
p.s - Also thought I'd mention just what a terriffic edition to the club is that of Mark Riley. He's a real voice out in the middle of training and appears to be quite switched on tactically, he's always encouraging the boys but not afraid to give them a spray when needed as well. He seems to radiate an immense amount of respect from everyone.
Herald Sun said:There was an expectation that once West Coast premiership captain and Brownlow medallist Judd became a Blue, the natural step would be for him to take over as skipper
