Yes he does. Well ahead of all those players.Serious question and dont jump down my throat but does Close warrant a spot in the best 22 in front of guys like Bowes, Clohesy, Clark and Knevitt, to me he is very underwhelming

Exactly the plan after the Rugby game scheduled there in the not to distant future. That ground should be bulldozed.
Funniest part was when he thought he won a free against MOC for holding it, decided to bend over MOC (who was on the ground) to give him some jumper shoves and an absolute earful... only to find out it was MOC's kick.Heeney is my favourite non-Geelong player, but MOC nullified him. Was beautiful to see.
I’m not sure how considering Clark/Knevitt warranting a spot more than Close can be looked at as serious.Serious question and dont jump down my throat but does Close warrant a spot in the best 22 in front of guys like Bowes, Clohesy, Clark and Knevitt, to me he is very underwhelming

Fair enough, i guess i just expect too muchClose is 3rd in the competition for goal assists, 7th for score launches among small forward, pretty much every player ahead of him plays significant midfield minutes

SDK was solid today.SDK looking much more comfortable today, the team sung the song with a bit more enthusiasm they were aware of the importance of that win,Stengle looked to be back in town 4 games to go all at the G.
HolmesAlso I still can't believe how hard Ollie Dempsey runs, maybe didn't always do the right thing today but he was consistently at either end of the ground when he was needed.
I don't know if there's a better genuine winger in the comp. He's a star
Professional performance, another top 4 finish and most likely top 2.
There are no words to describe how proud this club makes you.

I know. But he is best placed as winger.Holmes doesn't often play as a genuine wing much any more - he's either in the guts or running off the half back line
Just for the ppl that think the SCG is tiny.
"The MCG's dimensions are roughly 160 meters long and 130 meters wide, while the SCG is around 155 meters long and 136 meters wide"
I was at the game as well, and agree 100%. They are a very gentile, polite crowd, and were happy to listen to my bagging of Heeney as he was being towelled up.Just to add to The scg debate (I was at the game):
The scg surface is below average and the stadium itself needs upgrades, but as a viewing experience it's one of the best. You're so close to the action. Love it
Also the swans crowds are some of the most good natured and pleasant fans I've ever met, it's a completely different vibe from the MCG games I grew up attending against Collingwood, Carlton, the bombers etc.

Neale competed in the air against a few of his own after quarter time including Dempsey they need to sort that out. From the 20 minute mark of the first quarter it felt like a very professional performance. The first 20 minutes is what can be our undoing in finals - easy to play and score against.
Like others have said a number of players had their best game in a while, Stengle, Dempsey and De Koning amongst them. Only Cameron had a real shocker.
Special mention to the Irish pair that blanketed Heeney and Gulden. Quite a handy negative combination to have.
They probably should have tried to isolate Neale more. He was capable of kicking 10 in that form but he wasn't given many chances in the second half.
Shaun Mannagh is quite a player, eh?
It's basically cheating to have picked up a player like Jack Martin for free. Should be rules against it.
Che? It’s a beautiful ground. That ground should be bulldozed.
SCG just plays so much smaller. Even in cricket, the hits seem to be less effort required at Sydney. The MCG is 160m long and 141m wide
The SCG is 155m long and 136m wide
KP is 170m long and just 115m wide
