Looking at Danger's stats,
his rd 12 game v NM 2016 was unreal.
48 possessions
23 contested
2 goals 1
13 clearances
11 inside 50's

Totally forgot about games like that, his stats were insane.
4 clangers from 48 disposals, 13 marks, 10 of his clearances were centre clearances and an incredible 1032m gained from 81% time on ground.

And then you consider Selwood had 38 disposals and those two were well clear of the next best possession winner at Geelong. Its no surprise that all the memes were "Geelong team photo 2016" and it was just those two.

Its a real shame we didn't get over the Swans in that PF, because I genuinely think we would have rolled the Bulldogs. That season it felt like every team had an opponent they had an edge on.

The Dogs were 7-1 in the middle of the season when they got on their first roll, and that loss in the middle of that run was to us at Mahhhvel before they beat the Swans the next week at the SCG. They would then lose to us again 5 games later at GMHBA.
After that second loss to us, then would lose 1 in their next 8 before winning the flag.

But the Swans beat us by 38 at GMHBA during the season then 37 at the MCG in the PF.

Ahhh the ol' days of 1st quarters in finals completely ****ing us and ruining matches.

The reason Dangerfield’s reputation has gone up in the last year or three is, IMO, because we’re finally coming around to realising how blessed Geelong has been to have him.

Im not specifically referencing from a Geelong POV.

I checked wiki, Rhys Stanley won the sprint in 2009 (then with StKilda), since then, in 15 races, a Geelong player has won on 6 occasions or 40% of the time. Danger won 3 in a row (then with Adelaide), also Murdoch, Clark and Holmes.

The vote thread was insane.
It’s as if our fans listen to the commentators and not watch the game. Our stars get talked up and Atkins ignored.
There was a poster who couldn’t work out why anyone would give Atkins more votes than Holmes.
Many leaving him out of the top 3.

What's even better, go check out the oppositions boards and almost every one of them (aside from the teams currently struggling) is the hate and animosity towards us

The Dawgs are just jelly of Geelong, maybe because when you check their records against all clubs, the Cats are only behind the Pies as the side they have had the least win percentage against, plus our 8-2 record in finals over them. Historically most side's win percentages are least against Collingwood, Carlton and Essendon.

Speaking of which, in a couple of seasons Geelong could possibly overtake the Bombers on wins and win percentage if trajectories continue like they have over the last few years.
