What if we win and Darcy plays well??All this shows me is that the coach doesn't have the stones to deliver the bad news to Darcy.

Oh FFS, FFC. So dockery.Crutches? Farkin hell!
We did lose our clearance edge in those last few games though. Went from being the clear best clearance team in the comp to basically evens.Personally think losing Pearce and Treacy last season hurt more than Darcy

We covered the loss of Pearce initially but it was a bridge too far with both Darcy & JT. We also lost the Hawks game when Darcy was a late out and Meek got a hold of Jackson so recon a fit Darcy might have saved us. Darcy playing lame against Essendon didn't help.Intentionally or not, you are conveniently leaving out that Pearce and JT missed that period as well.

Adding a 2 time Brownlow medalist, Doig medalist and Becon award medalist in one game. Freo by 40 points. These changes are so uninspiring lol
I find it easier just to go without opinions from the get go.I change my opinions more than I change my clothes and I’m not ashamed to admit that
Replacing Voss with Darcy sends the wrong message. Reward form, rather than reputation.Last season we won 70% of games that they both played. Our season went downhill when Darcy got injured and Jackson ran out of puff.
Reidy isn't up to it and Jackson got inured so we had to play him early this year. He got beaten by Nank & Gawn but was better than Rory O'Brien. We won 2 out of 3 games when Darcy played solo and then lost the next two with both Jackson and Darcy.
Saints game wasn't the ruck issue it was a team issue.
Collingwood game we smashed them in the clearances and inside 50's. The rucks weren't why we lost that game, it was the style and defending.
It's really not that big of a deal. Voss isn't a world beater and replacing him with Darcy won't leave us too tall and give us options against Witts to try and win clearances. Some people have very short memories around here on how important Darcy was last year and losing him cost us a finals spot.
Talent wise no, but structurally he presents the same issues. He limits Jackson’s abilities to play his best footy (as Jackson is a ruckman, not a forward) and in the wet we will be way too tall. Are you suggesting Liam Reidy is the same as Sean Darcy??
Darcy is an actual big bodied ruck, this week we are up against another in a wet slog.
The over estimation of Jackson's capabilities is off the charts.
Agreed, Treacy and Pearce were the far bigger outs.Personally think losing Pearce and Treacy last season hurt more than Darcy
Yeah I’m Pretty sure JL said that regardless of if Pearce got off or not Cox was taking King. But naturally he needs help on those big guys and I just don’t see how Draper can give him that. OMac is much smarter and if neither are taking King anyway then they should’ve gone with him.Cox has been the deepest defender most weeks anyways, taking the toughest matchup. He took Georgiades last week, Hogan the week before. Decent chance he takes the Ben King matchup regardless.
Re Draper, if it's just that the coaches view him as being comfortably ahead of Davies and OMac regardless of form (basically the KPD version of Johnno vs Ras), that feels iffy. But especially with Cox back there, I think Draper's the best fit to roam a bit more. His best patch of form by far was from the Sydney game onwards last year. As long as he goes in with an aggressive mentality on the ball, he'll probably be fine.
