He's the VC now. Needs to take accountability for Paul's role both offensively & defensively. He has a better tank then Paul, absolutely no reason he shouldn't be able to play that role effectively.

FWIW some of his "efforts" in the back-half on Saturday left a lot to be desired.

Agree, but some of his 'efforts' in the midfield/forward half in the previous games were ****ing woeful. It sounds like a platitude but he really is one who knows what he needs to do to be consistently elite. So there's little room for excuses.

There's also a part of me that thinks anyone in a high on-field leadership role at North becomes mildly cursed, so maybe, just maybe, some of this isn't his doing, and is instead Wayne Carey's.

We're fortunate that we can plonk him in various situations in which he can look comfortable. Now he needs to work back to the level he was at last year, provided he isn't carrying a ruptured spleen or something

I know it’s five days versus six, but the cheats played their entire game in rain. I’m all for reasonable excuses but I don’t think it is one and I hope and expect the coaches will tell the players that.

Tucker did a role and it was OK. Not good, not great, not terrible, just OK.

It's worth considering that 10 of those 27 came in the 4th when Tucker was no longer doing that role. Rozee also had 290m gained in the 4th quarter alone (in a total of 720m), and his touches were much more damaging. There's clear night and day from when Tucker was on him and when he wasn't. Is that enough to justify the zero touches? In a team travelling better probably not. For us? Maybe.

Clarko likes players that do what he tells them (see Stephens getting a run each week), so I think Tucker will be safe this week once again, especially if Curtis gets time off.

Correct. It requires a mindset shift from young Harry. I don’t need his 30+, I need his 12 & 4.1.

Issue is he’s our Mr fixit and put in places to fix the issue - think it’s unfair to him and his career at such an early stage to be tasked with this.
