Don't know where else to ask this but what is the general consensus amongst North fans about each of your recent high draft picks (Phillips, Sheezel, Wardlaw, McKercher, Duursma, O'Sullivan)? After a few years what is the consensus on how they've gone, what their ceiling is and if the pick was nailed? Obviously Sheezel is a gun and Phillips has disappointed but I don't watch a lot of north games so interested in how the rest rank by your fans?

Sheezel 1 ️
Wardlaw 2- if can stay healthy could arguably be #1.
O Sullivan 3- very raw however so clean.

Mckercher, Duursma lots to prove and still very early days, both have obvious ability however physically not ready.

Phillips hasn’t made it as an early draft pick.

Curtis has probably had more tackles in one game than RHJ has had all season. More goals in one game too.

If that happens you might as well say Harvey is done then mind you why keep on the list if you’re not going to play him.
This is why you need professional people in all areas of the NMFC to stop things like this happening.

On the face of things, this seems fair enough. We expect Tucker to get dropped. However, this was the first game (excluding Melbourne, who were a rabble), where our structure appeared to hold up. Was Tucker playing a very selfless role? We’ll find out at selection, I guess.

I doubt it given the influence Rooozzzzeeeee had on the game.

Tucker did a role and it was OK. Not good, not great, not terrible, just OK.

It's worth considering that 10 of those 27 came in the 4th when Tucker was no longer doing that role. Rozee also had 290m gained in the 4th quarter alone (in a total of 720m), and his touches were much more damaging. There's clear night and day from when Tucker was on him and when he wasn't. Is that enough to justify the zero touches? In a team travelling better probably not. For us? Maybe.

Clarko likes players that do what he tells them (see Stephens getting a run each week), so I think Tucker will be safe this week once again, especially if Curtis gets time off.

That's interesting. I'd probably still drop him tho.

AFLTables says the Richmond game in May 2019 when Cameron Zurhaar still saw it as his duty to crunch everyone in sight. We've had four blokes coach us since then. Lol

I mean it's interesting, but if the role he was doing was making that big difference would we have subbed him?

Issue is he’s our Mr fixit and put in places to fix the issue - think it’s unfair to him and his career at such an early stage to be tasked with this.

Correct.

Finger needs to be pointed at the coaches also IMO. Was one of the best player in the competition for the last 10 games last year playing a role. Played about 1.5 games in that position this year which wasn't at the same level of output and they immediately reverted to moving him around.

How about we persist with our best player playing in their best position for a sustained period? We need Harry to play FWD/MID to start winning games.
