We are slow enough already without putting a dinosaur like Griffin back in.

Can't wait for the meltdown when Clancee is probably selected again. Hasnt had a great start to the season but **** me this board has short memories. There was even a toast thread on him not even 12 months ago![]()
I think the only problem with bringing in Deboer is his skill level. Yes he will bring ball winning ability but I guess we have to weigh up whether you take that over someone who may not get as many possessions or tackles but can offer a better skill set which is probably what we need a lot of as well
Yeah just trying to pump up my buddy. What about Tucker or Grey then?Out for 3 weeks I think with that toe injury![]()
I think Suban would be much more suited to the backline. I don't quite understand why we continue to use him on the ball. Yes he does add a bit of hardness in there but you would think that with our new attacking game style we should have three attacking on ballers in there most of the time, and if they aren't attacking then they should be well inept at stoppages like someone like Deboer. To me Suban is purely a stopper and always will be a stopper because he does not accumulate the ball enough and therefore should not demand a spot in the middle.Agreed but he would appear to fill a need around the ball at the moment (a real weakness that Suban is not taking care of) - just for the love of everything don't use him close to our goals. Think Priddis like - just dishing out the handballs.

I don't think his disposal isn't bad at all really. I think under pressure he has a tendency to bomb the ball long a lot but his general play and spot up kicks are quite good. In the midfield he is under pressure a lot more so tends to bomb it long though. I think using his skills out of the backline would be good actually, his pace has always been the issue in playing in the backline for meHe doesn't use the ball well enough to be a back. Ross likes good kicks out of the backline i.e. Johnson, Sheridan, Ibbo. Too much pressure having a t/over specialist in your back half imo.
Sorry george2 did you mean adept or something else because I think de Boer is acknowledged as being pretty handy around a stoppage.be well inept at stoppages like someone like Deboer
Apologies, my brain stopped working. This is exactly what I meant, thanksSorry george2 did you mean adept or something else because I think de Boer is acknowledged as being pretty handy around a stoppage.
I wouldn't be surprised to see de Boer named,at least in the initial 25.
Heading to C.Pearce path think too much.Apologies, my brain stopped working. This is exactly what I meant, thanks

I would have but I couldn't find a toaster wide enough for his big arseWho toasted C. Pearce?
This board has almost universally been calling for his dropping for years.
