Cox is a below average ruck who can't mark. Moore has had a quiet start but has real talent. He must continue to be given the opportunity to find form because when he does we win.
I like Cox as a relief ruck and thought his taps gave us significant momentum in the middle last night. Moore was dreadful but who takes his spot? White was our best tall forward by a mile, although he didn't seem to be playing as a forward - seemed more a winger, but others will be able to more accurately state his role and position. To me they are in the same situation. Both has potential and if either finds form we win. I just find it strange that people are talking pot shots at Cox and calling for him to be dropped, but keep Moore 'because of potential'.
I would rather pick on form and on field contribution at the moment Cox is ahead of Moore on that score.
Having said that, at this stage I would be keeping both in the team. One game against the reigning premiere is not a great sample size. Let's give it some time.

For a KPF White did a lot of roving in the first 3 quarters IMO. His mark in the last was probably the best thing he has done in b&w and then he casually slotted a point from close range on a reasonable angle. We don't run back as hard as the Dogs. White is our best athlete and Moore is still developing his tank. Cox couldn't run out of sight on a dark night.
In - Aish and Greenwood
Out Cox and Phillips
Blair isn't going anywhere so why bother.
Greenwood runs with Cotchin, Aish plays on the flank.
Out: Grundy, Blair, Varcoe (Susp)
In: Elliott, Aish,Broomhead
Cox and White to ruck, Grundy needs to take a look at himself

Easy to over-react after a loss but I don't think wholesale changes are needed. Can understand the arguments around dropping Cox but he was good in the ruck and gave Richmond some issues in JLT. We won't have to deal with players the quality of Morris and Wood coming in as the third defender also.
I think Varcoe will be suspended but I only have him as borderline 22 anyway. Not sure Blair will be dropped but just wasn't good enough last night. Aish in for Varcoe as next in for inclusion. I'd prefer Elliott over Broomhead but unlikely he's fit. Why didn't Broomhead play in the VFL practice? Line-ball decision between him and Maybe to come in for Aish? I'd probably ask Broomhead to fill in Varcoe's role and throw Aish forward. I think Aish works well in tight situations so he could be better suited forward (or centre square for that matter) rather than playing out in space.
What?Out: Grundy, Blair, Varcoe (Susp)

12 disposals, 7 marks, 4 tackles and 29 hitouts no good?
Edit: 4 tackles, not 5. Sorry.
I know it wont happen but part of me would like to see us select Kayle Kurvy.
Fatty Boomba just has a knack for kicking goals.![]()
Crisp had a shocker. Looked so soft.I like Cox as a relief ruck and thought his taps gave us significant momentum in the middle last night. Moore was dreadful but who takes his spot? OUT: Blair, Varcoe,

If we had a replacement for Crisp, like Elliott, he'd be in my outs too.
Anybody think Reid might be in trouble for eye gouging?
I know it hasn't had the focus in the way the Varcoe one was, but it certainly didn't look good.
Cox had 21.12 disposals, 7 marks, 4 tackles and 29 hitouts no good?

Varcoe would be one of the first players picked each week if I was coaching the Pies.
They don't think that and had we gone smaller we would've been stuffed because the dogs had numbers back and we simply werent good or fit enough to run forward and out number them.maybe the issue is having a 7FT KPF and our mids think they can bomb it to him.
maybe going smaller changes the mindset. I also like Darcy on his bike more.
$10 says he won't get dropped![]()
