Reckon we've ran out of excuses not to now, and what an opportunity. To come into a side that's playing a really good brand of footy with a system that's so far holding up quite well... I doubt it'll do any harm to his development.
In fact, with others around him capable of a hard ball get I reckon it'll do him favours.
It's bear time.
How did he go in the VFL game? Still in good form?
He looks like a good in and under mid with no pace. I may be wrong but he doesn't seem to be a replacement for Treloar.Reckon we've ran out of excuses not to now, and what an opportunity. I wish I shared your optimistic outlook. Come September on a sunny afternoon at the MCG we would be in desperate need of someone who can break the lines and split packs open with pace and strength. Only a rare few players have this capacity and we just lost one.Don’t know what it is but injuries don’t make me sweat like they did years ago
Just got to put the next person in line in
Great opportunity for Sier and or Wills to cement a possie

Ok, what we know for this week.
A pragmatic view.
First rule: Don’t panic.
Second rule: see First Rule.
We now know Treloar will be out, we know Greenwood is concussion line ball.
Hence seems two players out, meaning two in.
Sugggest we don’t drop any player as two changes made already.
(Daicos is vulnerable if there is a dropping I’d suggest, but likely gets a reprieve.)
In: Sier, Crocker
Out: Treloar, Greenwood (both injured)
New: Sier.
Emergencies: Wills, McLarty, Brown, Oxley
The most logical reason I can see Crocker come in is he brings that spirit and verve in. And we’re a bit short on players.
Sier surely is due. Bear releasing fun aside, he’s earnt a spot.
Not sure we’ll do this but maybe they’ll even pop the two big boys in Sier and Wills and give that a big spin?

the only player we have fit that can match Treloars run and dash is Murray and i dont think he has ever played in the midfieldApologies for the stupid question, but I don't follow the VFL as closely as others here. Sier to me looks to be a big-bodied mid in the same vein as De Goey rather than the run and dash mid of Treloar's style. Is this an accurate representation?
Does Sier have an ability to rotate into the forward line like De Goey does or is he a pure mid?

Oh I'm not sure about that, Crisp is a pretty good runner, as is Phillips.the only player we have fit that can match Treloars run and dash is Murray and i dont think he has ever played in the midfield
He was walking rather gingerly on the news tonight. Hope you are right though.Obviously it’s a wait and see period as fans, but this smells of fake news to me. We all remember the limp Fagan had while attending Gil’s get together post QB once he’d cooled down. Correct me if I’m wrong, but from what I’ve read Treloar didn’t appear impeded at all when getting scans.
They’re already in the team and we can’t really afford to switch their rolesOh I'm not sure about that, Crisp is a pretty good runner, as is Phillips.

Sure you can. Changing roles is just one choice the coaches can make. They’re already in the team and we can’t really afford to switch their roles
Crisp's form has been good and Phillips prior to the last 2 games has had a much improved season to date. Wouldn't change their roles and risk impacting their confidence or continuity. Need to find another option in the middle and De-Goey is probably the most suitable for the role. Should be able to cover him up forward, but instead of a 50/50 split he could play 60/40 or 70/30 mid/fwd.Sure you can. Changing roles is just one choice the coaches can make.

If we are relying on one player, then we dont deserve to win the flag.
4 weeks is manageable, but please dear god not the whole season!!
