It all reads like speculation at this point. I don’t think we should get worked up until we know what we are dealing with rather than guessing. Although if there is an area of the ground that can take an injury set back it is our midfield.

And exactly how will it change the side named for the game against GCS if an announcement is made today as opposed to Wednesday? I just don't get either the urgency or the sense of entitlement.

It has nothing to do with the side this week, it has to do with the way it affects the team for the rest of the season. The entitlement is l give money to the club for two paid up memberships, so if the rumours are true or untrue l would like to know ASAP.

Ch7 news just said the club has advised they won't know anything until he sees a specialist tomorrow. At a minimum, how about we temper expectations and wait till they know something definitive. It's just such a no winner. Make a statement and get it even slightly wrong, get hammered for a lack of professionalism. Don't make a statement, get hammered for disrespecting supporters.

In-Boot Studder, Doorman, Water Boy
Out-Next lot of players on our Injury Assemble Line.

Any slight chance of replacing Treloar will be negated by the next fresh batch of injuries.Sorry to be pessimistic but this latest injury is the straw that may have broken the Camel's back.

Well seeing a specialist isn't a good sign. Obviously the scans have showed something.

It just stuns me some posters on here ... It's not true it's never true. The media make it up. It's BS. Where's the proof.

Then they say I'll wait for the club to announce it. Jesus people the club lies more then the jornos. Yes we hate the Jornos but to take the word of the club on injuries.. you are kidding yourself. Treloar might have lost a leg overnight and the club is treating it as hamstring awareness .
They constantly hold the truth or water it down.

Collingwood thought they had dodged a bullet with Adam Treloar's hamstring injury but it now appears likely the star midfielder suffered more than cramps in his leg and may require surgery.

Scans on Monday revealed damage to the hamstring but the exact level of damage and what is needed to repair it will not be confirmed until he sees a specialist on Tuesday.

The unusual nature of the injury meant it was not immediately apparent, even after scans, what he had done.

Varcoe due for the VFL, might now be pressed straight back into the seniors...

Won't be seeing a specialist for cramp.

Sier was the highest ranked Pies player on Sunday. 28 disp & 9 tackles. Will be the only upside of Treloar injury - he and others can get time in midfield.

Not too sure of Greenwood role to replace him. Perhaps Varcoe will be ready

Just have to hope like hell that it's only around a month I guess.

In: Sier, Brown, Murray
Out: Treloar (inj), Greenwood (inj/omit), Appleby

The beauty of Treloar is his inside ball winning combined with his speed and linebreaking ability, and clearly there's no one player that can bring those attributes to the team. Sier and Wills are slow and I don't know if bringing both in would be a great idea. I think Sier looks like the one who is closer to debut so I'd love to see him come in this week.

Greenwood before getting concussed was poor. I don't really see a role for him. Brown wouldn't offer less than Greenwood at any rate IMO so I'd rather him get the senior experience in a defensive HF role, rotating through the midfield.

To address the outside run I'd like to see us bring Murray back off the back flank, at the expense of Appleby who is a touch unlucky but will be back. I hear that Murray hasn't been the best at VFL level, but think we just need to back him in.

Ed made is sound more like 10 apparently.

Treloar's injury has really dampened my spirits, he's been in AA form this year. I really hope Sier debuts this week, to give us a positive.

Yeah same, it's pretty depressing. He's probably our best player, and certainly our most consistent performer.
