Out : Treloar

Don’t think Crocker should come in.......one good week does not warrant a return. Think we should bring in seir for his consistent good form. Midfielder for midfielder.
We can cover Trelor against the lower sides but Richmond, Sydney and port Adelaide who have really good midfielders we might struggle
Kirby last year.Don't have to twist my arm. Bear it is! Can't remember more anticipation for a debut than this.

The real danger game is v Geelong.I think it’s a danger game. Get over it.
Ed just said Sier or Wills in for Treloar. Is he trolling us again!??!
Because he shuts down his opponent. He's in the best 22 and isn't going anywhere.Out: Mayne, Langdon, Treloar, Greenwood
In Murray, C.Brown, Sier, Wills
Howe and Shaz do the intercept marking so why do we need Langdon again?

COLLINGWOOD appears set to unleash another debutant against Gold Coast on Saturday night with midfielder Brayden Sier in line to replace injured star Adam Treloar.
The Magpies trained at the Holden Centre this morning and during the session coach Nathan Buckley called his players in for a chat.
Seconds later, players erupted in cheers and appeared to be celebrating with the 20-year-old.

The 191cm big-bodied midfielder has been close to senior selection for weeks after putting together strong performances in the VFL where he has been consistently named among the best.
He had 28 disposals and nine tackles in the loss to Northern Blues last weekend.
Sier was named as an emergency for the clash against Carlton last Sunday.

Buckley needs to find a replacement for injured star Treloar, who hurt both hamstrings in the win over the Blues.
He underwent surgery to repair his left hamstring on Wednesday and is expected to be sidelined for at least 8-10 weeks.
If he is named to make his debut, Sier will join Sam Murray, Brody Mihocek and Flynn Appleby as Pies to debut this season.
Buckley said replacing Treloar won’t be up to one person but rather a team approach.
“We have Adam Treloar go out, so the next person who comes in isn’t necessarily going to replace Adam Treloar, but we have to spread the load,” he told SEN.
“It’s not as big a headache as you might think, and that’s not speaking to Adam’s ability.
“It’s nice when you have options. It’s all about thinking creatively and making the most of what you’ve got.

“We have young players that have proven when they’ve been able to perform a role when given the opportunity.”
Sier was given the famous No.36 guernsey at Collingwood after premiership champion and Brownlow Medallist Dane Swan announced his retirement.
Sier has had an injury-interrupted career since being one of the shocks of the draft in 2015 when it took the little-known midfielder with pick No.32.
He played just two TAC Cup matches for the Northern Knights, instead playing mostly school footy for Marcellin where he won the best and fairest.
Geelong will blood its sixth debutant of 2018 on Friday night when they face the Western Bulldogs at Etihad Stadium.
The Cats revealed on Wednesday 20-year-old Quinton Narkle would make his maiden AFL appearance after shooting to prominence in the VFL in recent weeks.

Narkle, selected with pick 60 in the 2016 national draft, joins a growing number of small forwards to feature for Chris Scott’s team this season.
Already this year the Cats have handed debuts to Lachie Fogarty, Jack Henry, Jamaine Jones, mature-age star Tim Kelly and Esava Ratugolea.
And the news is getting better for Scott, who said returning injured stars Cam Guthrie, Scott Selwood, Harry Taylor and Daniel Menzel were all in the mix to play.
MEANWHILE, as expected, Richmond has welcomed back premiership duo Dion Prestia and David Astbury for Thursday night’s blockbuster against Sydney.
“Dion’s had a really good solid training block, so he’ll put his hand up straight away for AFL,” Hardwick said earlier this week.
“ … We did consider it (VFL for Prestia), but the fact is we got two really good training blocks in with Dion and that was always the train of thought, to get him right for AFL.
“He’s such a vital player to the way we play and I can’t wait to have him back.”
Veteran Jarrad McVeigh should return for the Swans, but coach John Longmire said talls Sam Reid and Lewis Melican wouldn’t be rushed back into the AFL team.
Stop with the Murray ins... Since when are we rewarding players clearly not in form. God sake.
Had 28 disposals (70.00% kicking efficiency, 64.29% overall disposal efficiency) and 9 marks in the VFL on the weekend, and has averaged 23.5 disposals (67.65% kicking efficiency, 67.02% overall disposal efficiency) and 5.5 marks per game over his 4 games in the twos this year. He's clearly running and getting the ball and working hard. Be nice if he was using it a bit better, but he's hardly "god sake" levels of out of form, and would provide some extra directness and drive in Treloar's absence too.
As he's predominantly playing as an inside mid, I'm not overly fussed about the DE.
Interesting, considering he's played as and perceived as an outside running half back type at senior level.
I'm traveling around Oz this year and so have the chance to drop into the game at the Gold Coast.
Anyone got advice for a Collingwood pub for before/after the game?
