How about the little Scotty Botty Thornton it would really build his confidence............
Clarke, DeBoer, Walters, Broughton, Drum (don't care if he's been bad at WAFL level, he's better than the tripe that was out there tonight), Hinkley, Murphy, Campbell.

All (YEP - 8 - COUNT 'EM - EIGHT - CHANGES, MOFO) in for Head, Gilmore, Dodd, Soloman, Bradley, Schammer (suspended), Crowely, Peake.

BTW - gosh I hope your sister is hot, I really need something to keep me watching them this year...

Out: Head (ffs this HAS to happen), Crowley, Dodd, Johnson, Schammer (susp), Bradley, Ibbo, Mundy, Hill (Far too soft and weak)...probably others too Gilly, Mcpharlin possibly.

In: Not many options as we all know but coul try: Clarke, De Boer, Broughton, Campbell, Murphy (doesnt deserve but no1 else), Hinkley (Young and needs another chance), Walters, Hall etc. Basically who ever is fit should be given a go because a big statement needs to be made to the soft, gutless, playing group that rocked up tonight.

Not a lot of insightful or helpful comments to be had here. I think playing in the heat last Sunday with a 6 day turnaround was a big factor in today's distressing performance. Adelaide also went down by a wide margin and at home. Probably Head and Bradley need to go and Schammer will almost certainly go. Did anyone play well in th WAFL today?

Hall had 20 touches but isnt ready. DeBeor had 13 touches, Clarke 11 touches and 15 hitouts.

For those that care Bell in his first game for Souths had 39 touches.[/quote]

Don't think it was his first game Latro, but he must be thinking "thank Christ" I'm not playing for Freo right now!

Out: Head, Gilmore, Bradley

In : Hinkley, Campbell, Clarke

what i did notice at the game last night was we just didnt have a target up forward. It really is time to bring in another option up there because Pav just aint cutting the mustard right now!

OUT: Head, Bradley, Mundy

IN: Broughton/Hinckley, Clarke, DeBoer

I don't know what I'm going to do if Head gets another game for FFC.

Side for next week:

B: Hayden McPharlin Grover
HB: Dodd Tarrant Broughton ( if fit )
C: Ibbotson Palmer Hill
HF: Peake Johnson Mundy
F: Walters Pavlich Haselby

Fo: Sandilands Duffield Hinkley

Int: Clarke Suban De Boer Solomon

If Broughton unfit then Drum

Outs : Bradley Head Gilmore Crowley Schammer (susp)
Ins: Broughton Clarke DeBoer Walters Hinkley

In: Campbell, Clarke, DeBoer
Out: Bradley, Crowley, Schammer (if suspended)

Campbell needs to play, we don't have any sort of target up forward. We need to stick Kiwi in the goal square and kick long. Bradley is not a ruckman and Clarke is, it's as simple as that. While if Schammer is suspended, I'd bring in DeBoer.

I have stuck with Head, Gilmore and Dodd. I was considering dropping all 3 based mainly on previous games, but with our shocking skills so far this year, I think we need to reward the players who disposed of the ball well.

Head - 100% (1st)
Dodd - 88% (3rd)
Gilmore - 81% (6th)

They are their effective disposal percentages, and the way we have been going this year, they are very good numbers. With skills playing such a major role, we need to keep playing the guys who do well in that regard. No matter what their reputation is.

I didnt watch last night thank God for family birthdays. The problem I see is the mid to late tier who are playing crap. I reckon some of them have the shits on now that Freo are REBUILDING and believe they wont be around for a legitimate Cup tilt and are playing like spoilt kids as a result.

Harvs needs to swing the axe and maybe cut a sacrifical lamb\s like McPharlin, Mundy, Schammer (maybe gorn anyway). Throw a sense of reality into them and shake them up and see if they are willing to snap out of it. End of year maybe we trade one or two if they dont give a shit. Also remove the rubbish out of the team that are not capable of providing the competition Harvs wants them to give to the young guys. Play some of the young guys, DeBoer, Clarke, Hinckly, Broughton(when fit and youngish). Out Head, Gilmore, Bradley (for a spell in the WAFL), Dodd if he cant be consistent week to week.

I would like us to give this new game plan the heavho and go back to the way were were playing late last year, keep it simple.

I am not sure of the stats but I can tell you this about Head.
He has all the hardness of a wet lettuice leaf. Up until this point he has had turnovers that have resulted directly in opposition goals.

Heads biggest problem is that he is as weak as water and is totally unable to stop his opponent. As a result this is placing stress on the other defenders. You know as well as I do that we are unable to defend well as it is.

How many times are we seeing players run through/around players like Head, Gilmore, Johnston without even batting an eyelid. No pressure being placed on the opposition ball carrier and then they have an easy shot on goal.

This is creating the problem of opposition teams kicking very accurately against us and burrying is with scoreboard pressure.

Tarrant in the backline is a good thing.
Bring back Broughton.
McPharlin to be CHB
Grover to FB
Mundy needs to go back, his disposal is good but if he is going to be a leader for us he is going to need to step up right now.
Hayden even thogh he is unfit is one of our best players and defence sorely needs him.

Head-Should NEVER play again for us. 100% useless at 25, put in a rookie that will at least try.
Johnson is not diciplined enough and his lack of passion and quality disposal is killing us.
Gilmore s just an average AFL player, just not good enough in any aspect of what is required at AFL level.

In the end we are going to have to have another cleanout this (Looking to lose another 6-10 players):thumbsd:season and hope that there is some young talent left in the draft after the Gold Coast cleanout of talent.

All in all we are a rabble. Wooden spoon is looking likely and it is 100% Fremantle to win the spoon when we WONT get the number 1,2,3,4 and 5 draft picks. We are a team that appears to be destined to suck.

God help us!

Debuting De Boer after 13 touches would be a joke. These guys are the future but you cant gift them games, it sets a horrible precedent into the future. You'd want De Boer (or any other kid) to be getting the best multiple weeks in a row with possession counts pushing 30 to earn AFL call up. Especially someone like De Boer who is more quantity over quality type.

Geez I'm glad most of you aren't coaching! I'm quite sure that Harves is checking out which players can learn and be relied on. I'm sure this is why Head keeps getting a game.

Seriously though, how can anyone say with a straight face that McPharlin should go? Same for Soloman. Methinks some people's disappointment is getting the better of their judgement.

If we are still playing like this in round 13, I will change my tune and agree that the whole team needs to be sacked.

b: Hayden Grover McPharlin
hb: Mundy Tarrant Suban
c: Head Hasleby Gilmore
hf: Hill Johnson Solomon
f: Pavlich Campbell Peake

r: Sandilands Palmer Duffield

i: Clarke Dodd Ibbotson DeBoer/Hinkley/Schammer

That would be how I would line up this week. We need to strengthen our backline and get some of the experienced guys back there. That means Grover, McPharlin and Mundy should all play the whole match down back. I'd expect Tarrant and Johnson to rotate, but I'd prefer it if we kept Tarrant down back and Johnson up forward.

We need some help for Pavlich up forward, so I would play Johnson as the lead up CHF and Campbell as the stay at home FF. That would take the pressure of Pavlich and would also give him someone to lead to.

The midfield set-up is fairly self explanatory, with guys like Hasleby, Palmer, Duffield and Ibbotson. With Crowley out, I would play Dodd as the tagger.

I would line up with Gilmore and Head on each of the wings. I don't think either are strong enough defensively to be playing in the back line, but they do have long, and generally good, kicks. I would get them to run through the middle of the ground and kick long to Pavlich and Campbell. For the lack of a better example, they would be playing roles similar to Young from Hawthorn.

Out: Crowley, Gilmore and Head have to go.

Crowley can no longer trade on past performances, because they're a long way in the past. He was so poor I can't believe I ever rated him.

Gilmore needs get back and regain some confidence. He looks so much better when he is running with the ball and breaking the lines. I also don't think we can have both he and Kepler in the same team. Kepler offers more at this point.

Head is not an AFL footballer. He is about 15% off the pace of the game and you just know he will never do anything of merit at all. Enough is enough, drop him. He is bad for team morale.

In: Campbell. He has heart (something we need), he will offer some presence up forward even if it is only in spurts. Get him in, there is no one else.

Broughton, if fit. Is so much better than Head.

Clarke, lets face it, he will be an AFL player and should be given a go since we're rebuilding. I think he can have more impact than Johnson (another one who should be feeling the heat).

OUT:
Gilmore, Bradley, Head, Schammer?
(We'll need Crowley if Tequila is suspended.)

IN:
Murphy - we need a target up forward and he's in better form than Campbell atm.
Clarke - as good a time as any to blood him.
Hinkley - need some mid-field run.
de Boer - probably doesn't deserve it yet but the next best mid-field alternative.

B: Grover, McPharlin, Hayden
HB: Dodd, Tarrant, Mundy
C: Ibbotson, Hasleby, Palmer
HF: Crowley, Pavlich, Hinkley
F: Peake, Murphy, Solomon

R: Sandilands, Schammer*, Duffield
I: Johnson, Hill, Suban, Clarke

*de Boer on stand-by

In: De Boer
Clarke
Murphy
Broughton (if fit)

Out: Dodd (has been completely off since round 1)
Gilmore (hasn't had any influence on the games so far)
Bradley (needs to go back to the WAFL and get his confidence, he was a good player last year but seems to be only a shadow of what he was)
Head (went onto Dal Santo and appeared to do an ok job when, but if Broughton is fit he should be in the side over head)

Out - Head, Gilmore, Schammer (susp), Kep

In - Broughton, Clarke, De Boer, Cambell/Murphy

Tarrant and Johnson to play in defence, Campbell/Murphy one out in the square (we need somebody to kick some damn goals), Pav HF/HFF with stints in the middle if needed. Mundy to rotate between HB and middle, Duffield to rotate between HF and middle. Keep palmer, Ibbo, and Hill in the middle to 'click' with Sandi and Hase.

If all else fails -

Out - FFC

In - Peel Thunder
