The Port board is very strange and bitter, they discuss and rejoice in our failings more than their wins. Their non port discussion jumped like 7 pages last night if not more. They seem to know everything about our coaches/players etc.

Given they went missing when the chips were down, most Port supporters don't deserve to share in Ports current success.

You can have 10 handballs in a quarter and hit the target every single time and only gain 11 metres in total. We don't know.

Then you can have someone have 5 kicks hit the target every tine and make 250 metre in metres gained and it's the same level of efficiency.

It's a non descriptive stat.

No it's not, it doesn't tell you anything. It doesn't tell you where, when or who he kicked it to. It just tells you - he hit the target. It's non descriptive.

Plus - his one on one defensive efforts are very poor. He gets lost on the defensive transition,

Jaensch uses his "elite" leg to laser passes 15-17m to lead-up targets in the centre of the ground or bomb switch passes to players 30m in the clear across the back half.

I want to know when he's going to dare to use it bravely like Smith does on a regular basis.

I understand what you mean to a degree, but you can look at the type of player they are and combine that with DE..
Contested ball players have lower DE, even though some still expect them to be high..

A player like Mackay you expect and need a higher DE..

What should happen, and what will happen are often two very different things. Sando has shown he has no issue dropping Lyons very quickly.

He may not even be hitting targets. Kicking to a contest is an effective disposal. He does a fair bit of that coming out if the d50.
