There is this small part of me that thinks Oscar Allen might be a good inclusion

I’ve said all along that Schofield is automatic after Shep got injured but Allen would add versatility fwd and back

Plays as a good link man also

I’m looking forward to tomorrrow nights selections ....

Allen can play ......

my gut says we will belt them.

by belt them a 4-6 goal win. It is finals after all.

Oliver to dive like a pussy

I get the same vibe Melb have been up for awhile trying to grab a top 8 spot and then 2 finals win ..If we crack them in the 3rd quarter then the Wce floodgates will open..

100% agree

Reported that Dees about to drop a very unlucky Fritsh for another taller defender.

I like it.

This week I've heard a lot on how the Dees will need to change their game plan against the Eagles. They can't bomb in the chaos ball down the wing or into the forward line against Gov, Hurn and Barrass.

Someone will need to play as a defensive forward on Gov.

Worrying about who to tag, Yeo or Shoey.

Feel like they are being forced to combat our strengths by sacrificing their natural game.

Whoever you have to replace Shep, is damn impressive. Definitely earned your strips, or in this case wings. Plaudits to Adam Simpson and co. for overachieving massively.

I've felt all week long that this game is either on a heartbreaking knifes-edge either way or a pounding and Eagles progressing.

Intent and composure will decide this game.

More so composure because players dont really need a lot of extra motivation to play well in a prelim.

Hoping our balance of experience mixed with youth will get us through.

Smoke and mirrors?
I would think the chaos ball would work against gov-less predictable..

The most crucial thing in the middle of the ground will be max Gawn
And unfortunately both Lycett and Vardy don’t equal one max

Drop one (Lycett), and add an extra running player
Maybe either waterman or (even)Oscar A
Will be warm, don’t want to run out of legs

Disagree. Need both in.

The entire team needs to wear Gawn down. Lycett get a few knees into his thigh / ribs. If he drops back into defense Vardy needs to keep him accountable and get the ball down to the crumbers.

If Gawn plays well it will be close. If we can win that battle that will go a long way to getting a win.

You guys got enough big guys like Lycett, Vardy, Barrass, JJK etc.. to wear down Gawn and fatigue him.

If the reports are true from our end Smith might replace Fritsch which will further tip the game in your favour.

Out: Sheppard (brutal injury)
In: Schoey

B: Schofield, Barrass, Hurn
HB: Jetta, McGovern, Cole
C: Redden, Shuey, Masten
HF: Cripps, Darling, Rioli
F: LeCras, Kennedy, Vardy
R: Lycett, Yeo, Hutchings
I: Duggan, Ryan, Sheed, Venables
E: Ollen, Ah Chee, Nelson, Ainsworth

Let's see how close to the pin I can get.
