Don't mind the idea of giving Goose a run forward. He's slow but will give us a target and he's looked very poor down back. At worst he's no better than the current options.
Goose is very unlikely to play this week as he knocked out in the reserves game on the weekend.

Also Jack Martin in serious doubt with an ankle. For once we meet a side who have a worst injury list than ourselves. No excuses now this is a win at all costs. I expect nothing less than a win.

Martin was subbed off in the GWS with the injury. He was one I actually expected to miss.

Includes a pretty enjoyable photo that looks like Swallow and Malceski are trying to start a conga line.

Gah they had it up but it hadn't made the front page when I checked before posting.

So I take it this game is going to be played in a hospital ward?

I guess when people were being literal when they were describing this game as cripple fight.

It's a real shame. Lynch really struggled last week against Davis, but he'll feel a bit more confident against Clarke, particularly with no Patfull there to help out.

Unfortunately I think we're going to get blown away again. The Suns aren't lacking in attacking firepower.
Lynch is just horribly out of form at the moment. Hopefully that continues for another week.

I wonder if Malceski has been playing hurt all season. He has certainly looked a shadow of himself.

Swallow is a big out.

Midfield match-up still looks pretty even for mine.
Richitelli is playing good footy, Prestia is a gun and Bennell is a freak v Beams, Rich, Martin and Rockliff (depending on positioning/injury)

I think things swing in our favor when you compare the next bracket down though: Zorko, Redden, Aish vs Miller, Hall and ....whoever. Although in fairness Redden and Aish have been woefully out of form.

No doubt we bat deeper but the top-end is fairly similar imo. Bit Harsh on Redden, think he has been okay and notoriously starts the season slowly.

Good call. Malceski has been poor this year. No doubt he adds a lot off the field and even on-field leadership put his output has been rubbish.

Never really considered him a slow starter, always thought of him as Mr Reliable. Every chance I'm harsh on him because my expectations for him are higher but with two big guns missing in the midfield I think we have needed more from him.

Definitely expected him to develop into an A-grader but I'd settle for something along the lines of a Brad Sewell

Yeah, I think he's going to be more of the James Kelly or Sewell variety: Very good player that complements the other mids but he was quietly taking his game up another level. Could still be A grade. The more I think about it though I'm being harsh on the man. He's missed half a year of footy and has had to come back to a midfield missing two guns surrounded by kids and other players struggling to find form.
