Not enamoured by the changes.

Hoping the scoreline is better than the later round last year.

Who knows I’ll be there because it is meant to be a celebration of all the things I love about the club.

Already have an agreement with those that I’m going with if it gets ugly we’ll leave.

It was an ok period where we were kinda sorta almost ok and I think we return to regular programming of sucking hardcore.

F*** I’m tired of this.
It’ll be quite the statement if all North supporters turn up for the celebrations and then ship off soon after. Whether it has impact on the clubs board will probably be up for debate, but i’d love to see it.

Gotta feel sorry for Tyler. Can imagine me playing my first game v the Cats at g.s.s. 🙄

Thrown to the wolves. Kind of player that would make bucketloads in the edfl or something but we chucked him in as an undersized chf in a terrible side.

We didn’t cripple the guy - if he is capable of making bucketloads in another comp, the fact he was briefly on an AFL list isn’t going to hold him back.

I've never seen someone wanting this club to fail as much as you do (my bad with the exception of Snake)

I dont like what im seeing. I want the team to succeed but I think thats nigh impossible
Mate you're losing it.

At the start of this season you basically predicted where we are now and did it off the back of obvious things like our younger players still growing, the team still learning Clarkson's gameplan and the newer players having an important role taking time to gel with the side. You also said we'd be better in the second half of the year. I seem to remember you also said that by the start of 2027 you expected the same side to be really good.

I know its hard to keep to stay patient during the week in week out immediacy of the season but you were able to see things with a reasonably clear head over summer so try to remember that.

Yeh but I expected to put away west coast and richmond. Instead they were insipid performances, I didn’t anticipate the club to have botched the draft so much, which after shining some light on it, its been woeful, the clubs recent decisions around the 100 year and 50 year celebrations has just about done me over. And Brady is still employed. Its all combined to make the product of pissed off and jaded NMFC members

The Richmond game was ****en wild. It was the most intense game anyone's played this year and for a few seasons. The fact we held on to win is a massive improvement in our performance. It was far from insipid. We were pus against the WC, then our 20 year olds drove the best last quarter comeback we've had in nearly 20 years!

Right now we are looking at 2021's draft co they're in their fourth season.

It looks shite cos of injuries and suspensions but that's a short term problem. We could still end up with three crucial players for a long time out of it. Every draft after that is still too early to judge. The ones before it ... well 2019 looks poor 2020 ... tonight's game could change the look of that dramatically.

Will Phillips looked good a couple of years ago but a poor 2024 has changed that. If he gets his game and development back on track then it will look good again. Dunno what's happening with Ford but in his last few games of VFL he looked excellent, above the level. When he went off injured last time the game changed as a result because he wasn't out there controlling the backline. If Phillips shows what we thought he was capable of tonight we'll have one of the best returns from that draft. Geelong are the only ones to really nail it and that included stealing Henry.

Good God!!! When the siren went, I sat there non-plussed. Felt like I'd just kissed my brother. It was a putrid game of football. Other than being close, it had absolutely nothing going for it. It was two very very ordinary teams going at it.

Whack on a few games from the '90's - you'll end up in the Alfred Hospital suffering panic attacks

I've blocked one person on here and it instantly made visiting this place way more enjoyable.

I highly recommend it.
I've just blocked that same person as per their invitation. First time I've ever blocked anyone, but I feel very good about it. I will probably come here more.

I don't watch old games of footy but that game reminded me of the 90s more than anything I've seen for years. It reminded me of that game when we beat Port during 1999 where the lead changed 35 times in the last five minutes.

I am, **** em

On ya Ducky.

Best way to hold the club to account is to piss and moan on a regular basis on an internet forum. Brilliant stuff.

He's completely misconstrued what I was saying.

For the longest time I would sit siren to siren regardless of what played out.

That time is gone for me. If the game tonight gets ugly I am not sticking around.

Following the side and fronting up week on week is masochism enough. I don't need to wilfully watch us get flogged.

Be pretty bizarre for anyone to rock up for the pre game then f*** off when the siren sounds.

5 changes,
and theres only 1 in, and 1 out that I'm genuinely gutted over.

The 1 out, which I feel is a huge loss is Parker. Leadership, experience, attitude. Everything about him is what we need.
People have been calling for Darling to be rested anyway, same with LMac. Both have been good for us this year, LMac is playing like someone on his last season and putting his body on the line with everything he does. May not be the most skillful of players, but he sure goes for it. Darling is proving to be a wise pick up. Wardlaw hasn't been on his best game recently. I'm a fan of George but last few games haven't been the best. Fisher is just dropped. You can call it 'managed', but he was a sub only a fortnight ago, and has been in and out the team this season.

The 1 in that I'm not happy with is Scott. Again, people have been calling for Zane, Finnbar, Harvey and Will Phill to come in. Maybe not all for the same game but hey at least they're all finally getting their chances. I'd rather have seen Banch come in over Scott. Scott just doesn't seem to offer anything, or have a point of difference. Banch in, RHJ sub.

Looking forward to seeing how the promoted players go, as well as Wawson. Zurhaar was quiet last time out, so he's due for a big game.

If our midfield and forwards can come to the party, theres goals to be had, they conceded nearly 100 last weekend, and 127 against Geelong a month or so ago.

Whilst I'm always with you DY (like a long lost Brother) I'd be willing to agree with you more absolutely if we had everyone available for all games, and were still putting up these pus efforts regularly.

The fact we've been without Archer, Logue, Goater, Curtis, Wardlaw really - means we have a fair bit upside and in Goad, MWhitlock, George and Banchee who really knows?

I hate us currently, but I'll be there tonight to say thanks for not missing the Top 4 in each of my teenage years.

This about sums up where Wayne is at these days... saying our players are too soft and precious to cop a spray, while sitting in front of a co-host's MAGA hat.

Again why do politics and footy opinions together matter
I take it u only listen to commentators who sit to the left
