We probably don't have the players to win the game. Basically cos they are still young and need more development and match fitness/physical maturity.

There were plenty of times this year when good teams took it to us and we responded then got the game back on level pegging only to run out of legs late in the game. That shows we are developing the mentality to stay in games. There was one game where we lost composure while leading well - against Carlton. Whereas last year it happened multiple times.

Rankine is a huge cog in their machine and the outside run that usually carves us up. Exactly the sort of player we need actually - but

We could right so many wrongs for the season with a win here. Again, Dawson would have to play and do a solid job of Thilthorpe. Mids would need a day out, but should feel in form. Home deck, last game GF and all that then hopefully we feel we're a chance and at the very least want to give our best showing to see where we're at V the best side atm. A side which only a few years ago was where we're at.

We should be veiwing them as where we want to be (soon), and hunt them rather than fear them.

I think we'll match up well on them, especially without Rankine. It could go either way but if it goes well we could be level or in front in the third quarter and then fall away late because of the age thing. That wouldn't be a "bad" result really. A bad result would be not showing up at all.

We'd be much younger and less experienced than the last team we put out against them.
It'd be a seriously incredible effort to stay with the team on top of the ladder.
Might be possible if they are just cruising to do enough to just get the win or not wanting to get injured.

We actually do have something to play for in moving our pick up a spot from 3 to 4 for Richmond.
Also finishing above Essendon too.

And I think Adelaide would rather face the Suns in a home final than the Pies.
