I think it has to be Aliir with Esava out. There's nobody else unless BZT gets a surprise call up.

Marshall playing as the zone off tall forces Aliir to play as the only proper KPD. He's still been quite influential intercepting the last few weeks, despite also taking a (often the tallest) key forward.

Personally, I would put Bergman on Thilthorpe with Aliir/Marshall intercepting.

Aliir is worst when he has to defend 1:1.

They have a number of ex-Port people on board, and have had a very clear cut understanding of Hinkley's game plan over the last 12 years. They have regularly totally annihilated Hinkley's forward-press, and were able to score many "over-the-top" goals at will. So frustrating!

Going to be a different kettle of fish this year under Carr

You just know the umpiring this friday is going to be heavily in the clowns favour, i just have a feeling.

I will be ok as long as this bloke shows up again.

The Big chadbro is tipping us this week, surprisingly he is probably playing mind games.

Just a watch on Jordan Dawson, i dont want to speculate but here are the facts.

He has his brothers funeral on Wednesday in robe, five aa news said that they will leave the decision to him if he wants to play or not.

We’re in good form, but still young and inexperienced in a few positions. I feel Geelong had a dirty night and losing two key position players didn’t help. We have to play out of our skins to beat Crom.
We can’t start slow either, as that’ll get the crowd going for them.
Rankine & Filthy need to be stopped, we can’t let slippery Rachele get on top either. Dawson may play emotional given his loss.
I just hope we go flipping hard and make them earn each possession. No softcockery!!

Probably because he hates the crows a little more than us. No other reason.

7 news reporting crows will address their midfield issues by bringing in O'Brien and Fogarty.

Aliir is great if allowed to zone off etc. he’ll get killed in a one on one contest.
Yep, watching the space between him and his opponent is anxiety inducing. Excellent at the zone but three paces behind in a one on one. Having said that he deserves huge credit for what he does well - I went to the Hawthorn game at Marvel last week and so many Hawks fan losing their sh*t with "why do we keep kicking it straight to Alir"

I don't really GAF what the Crows do, but heading en masse down to Robe on Wednesday, in the middle of a 5 day break between games, wouldn't really seem to be ideal preparation. Especially after only flying back from Brisbane today.

Definitely not having a go at Aliir, we need to play him to his strengths, wrestling with big forwards isn't his thing.
To be honest not many teams have a good match up for Thilthorpe.

Just another challenge that will give us a further measure of how we are tracking. They should go in as warm favourites and more importantly its a game they wouldnt want to drop if they are serious contenders.
Personally enjoying the year as I dont know what to expect each week , so wins like last week are so much more enjoyable. Hopefully we are at least competitive and if we win then who knows what the season may hold.

I’m optimistic about our chances but I can 100% see the Crows rallying and pulling off a memorable victory for Jordan Dawson.

I reckon they will be tough to beat. Its another one they'll want to win for Dawson.
I don't know if this is really how the human brain works. Probably more likely they come back feeling depressed and with perspective on how unimportant football really is in the scheme of things. I've played sport in a similar situation myself and it's certainly how I and my team felt. And we got smashed by a team we'd never lost to before or since.
