Do you think D Mac will be selected in the 22 this week?

May & Lever have been playing very well for the dees, we need to shut them out of the game. We actually may be better off loading up on kpf this week... I actually reckon they will put fog back in the midfield for this game, Dees very tough around the contest. Probably means Roc comes out which is unlucky. We need extra height down back with the size of their forwards, Kelly giving away 10cms to Brown & weiderman.

Ins- Tex, Mchenry, Murray/ Mcasey/ Worrell
Out- Mackay, Roc (unlucky), Kelly (unlucky)
Last week often saw Lever up against one of the Carlton short people up fwd. I lost count of the number of pretty much uncontested marks he took. May was up against McKay, but Carlton's forward line was even smaller than our backline - esp when Casboult was called upon to ruck! Melbourne are also a fairly quick team, so if we bring Tex back in, we'll need to drop one of Fog or Hampton - I'd prefer the latter to go. My ins would be Tex, McHenry and Worrell - outs would be Frampton, Mackay and as you've stated ROC an unlucky out. If ROC stays then bring back McHenry via the SANFL.

Was surprised to see him & Laird fairly similar

And a lot of the stats Oliver is performing better in is just from being in a better side.

But no, Laird has been slept on with how his season stacks up with some of the best ball winners in the league. He's our best shot at an AA.

Seedsman would be leading our BnF

I think that's more about the future. Seed is having a great year, but has had a few very good patches but overall a mediocre career with us. Outside of the periodic purple patches hes the definition of a 29yo player you want to be moving past as you back up a spoon with a bottom 2 or 3 finish.

A faint possibility, it is on our home deck. Weirder things have happened.

You just never know.

The difference with Melbourne is that they've ground out a couple of close ones and I don't think they're sniffing their own farts just yet. We were highly competitive last week though, but playing one pressureless forward reaps a big dividend. We could return to previous structure and get annihalated.

Funny they made content out of stopping what they have done for years and then going back to it 🤷‍♂️

What's weird is that they made a necessary change for a specific reason and didn't revert when the specific reason ceased. Which went against everything the AFL always does with regards to demanding focus. Thursday night selection all eyes are on the AFL. They even embargoed it for commercial reasons not that long ago. They can't have totally forgotten about it, it was an active decision to not revert. I'd love to know their reasons that swayed them to say no to returning to norm.

I wasnt trolling you. I thought this line was funny. There is going to be a few players in our current team that simply wont be here in our next flag push.

I am not as optimistic as some about the future of some of our players.
You're not the only one. I saw that line and immediately though "if we adopt that policy, then TT would be the only tall in our forward line".

I assume it's about just driving more traffic through their website / app. "Engagement" or whatever the hell the marketing ****s call it. Basically if you announce the teams all at once on Thursday, then people just go and look at the announcement once. If you drip feed the announcements over Thursday / Friday / Saturday then people are coming back 3 times to get the same information they used to get in a single visit. They get triple the hits on their site / app, which makes them look good when trying to sell themselves to sponsors / advertisers.

Why do you think that ?

I would like to see himmelberg play as a tall down back and be used as relief ruck when ROB has a break.
He replaces Mackay down back
Tex comes in and replaces Frampton
Doedee on AA hinted at needing a second KPD this week.

Nothing in Social Media about Worrell debuting.

Plus having one KPD against Brown, MacDonald, Weidmann and even Fristsch is madness.

As it was proven last week.

We obviously need another KPD
I wonder if Tom is sending a subtle message to the coaches that he is sick of playing on the big guys?
It will be interesting to see which way the selection committee go this weekend.
We cant keep going undersized

I think Murray would be given the first chance out of our tall defenders playing SANFL. From memory he has been emergency a few times recently, so you would think he is in front of McAsey atm. Happy to be wrong though and for McAsey to be given a crack.

I'm looking forward to the Jake Kelly vs Luke Jackson matchup.

All aboard the Horne train.

Murray is still streets ahead of McAsey in the pecking order. I imagine he’ll be the one coming in if we go down the extra KPD path.

I reckon we're dropping Fogarty and O'Connor for McHenry and Walker with no other changes.

Frampton stays to chop out in the ruck against Gawn

This place will go nuclear if that happens.

So Tex and in along with Knarlin Ned after protocol concussion checks ticked off
“ROB’s our man”
Can’t see any hint of ruck changes for a while
O’Connor may be an out - his debut in the west was just that
A shame because guys should play a block of games
