Assuming Tex and McHenry are available for selection this week.
Some big decisions required. We simply can't go in with 1 big defender again. The tanking is getting too obvious.
So, my team looks like the following:
B: Brown Butts Jones
HB: Doedee Murray Smith
C: Seedsman Sloane Sholl
HF: Thilthorpe Tex Schoenberg
FF: Rowe Fogarty McAdam
1R: ROB Laird Keays
Int: Hamill ROC McHenry Berry
That means:
IN
Tex, Murray, McHenry
OUT
Kelly, Frampton, Mackay
Decisions:
Murray in for Kelly. Kelly unlucky to be squeezed out, but we need that extra tall defender. Kelly is the weakest and easiest to replace.
Jones looked good, so we need to settle him there. He should play the rest of the season in that same role. Hamill is part of the defensive rotations.
Tex for Frampton is easy. Forward line looks more dynamic with Thilthorpe and Fog alongside Tex. Please talk to the players about not kicking it to Tex all the time and instead honouring the leads of the forwards no matter who they are. This might encourage McAdam to keep leading. He is much more dangerous when he gets moving.
ROC deserves another game. Based on the physical size of Melbourne's midfield, it would be a good game for him.
Mackay simply has to make way. No justification in keeping him. McHenry in.
Is it just me or does this line up look much better than what we have been running with in the past month or so?
