Because we're setting him up to fail.

He's a forward. So we randomly ask him to play midfield, bring him in after like 2 tries in the SANFL, then drop him after 3 AFL games.

And we're wondering why he may not be doing what's required

Our need to play a second ruckman for 6-7 minutes a game has basically closed the door on Fogarty.

We tried to squeeze him in as a pseudo forward/mid hybrid but were obviously too tall and slow with that structure.

A bit like our slavish devotion to Mackay causing the Lynch saga last week, the knock on effect of those 6-7 minutes of dismal relief ruck work are having a far greater impact than they warrant.

Unless Walker gets injured Fogarty is done with us. Or unless we're prepared to lose the rucks for those 6-7 minutes.
