Watch replay of this week and last week when coming out of backline and fails to hit targets over 30 metres. Its at crucial stages and it has had unsettling influence on our ball movement. Its his major flaw !

As does it appear over 50% of our team has with the results showing we have 13 players with a worse level of efficiency than him

What is the league average on efficiency?

I will explain this to you S L O W L Y.

Inside mids get more contested ball with lots of players around them so you expect the inside mids to have a lower disposal efficiency.

Some players in defence chip the ball to each other or are switching the ball. They are under less pressure and should have a higher disposal efficiency (Kelly and Brown both 82.3%). Other players like Rory Laird get plenty of contested ball so a 81.3 %DE is very impressive.

Outside mids should have the best %DE since they usually have more uncontested ball. Wayne Milera has a DE of 81.2%, Mackay 72.6% and Atkins 71.7%. Atkins however gets 32% more disposals and his good disposals HURT the opposition. Mackay's good disposals consist mainly of bombs into the forward line.

Oh so you are making ecuses for Atkins, what about Betts and CC or maybe Lynch or even Gov, JJ and Tex

Face facts as they are very clear he isnt as bad as the board makes out we can see that in the evidence provided, does it go against peoples bias

Your not listening Marty.

We are comparing outside midfielders. Which out of Tex, Gov, JJ, Betts, CC or Lynch play on the wing?????????

I feel like a kindergarten teacher.

Oh so we are comparing Mackay and Atkins who have similar efficency except Mackay is slightly better? As generally speaking they are the best two to compare being outside mids have you any others you want to compare that have played a similar amount of games to each other?

Now your getting the idea.

Mackay - 39% of his disposals are uncontested.
Atkins - 31% of his disposals are uncontested.

So..... you would expect Mackay to have a lot better disposal efficiency but that aint the case. To make it worse, bombing the ball into the F50 to a pack is considered an effective disposal.

What about effective disposals per match?

Mackay 12.6 effective disposals per match
Atkins 16.4 effective disposals per match.

That is 30% more effective disposals to Atkins (and we all complain that he burns the ball too much).

Do you want the stats on goals and score involvements????????????

Sounds like Clarke ******* loves Thompson in the side.

Also mentioned having a "squad" in form when talking about Greenwood coming back in

Another reason why we need to get rid of this bloke asap...he smells like amateur for me.
To think he's been at the club for a decade in the same role is pretty damn pathetic and speaks volumes of our amateur hour coaching hierarchy.

I wasnt saying Mackaty was as good as Atkins, but what is relevant is what we have in the two's, you did watch that on the weekend and the thumping we were given, also Mackay was far better than Milera, CC, Douglass, Betts and Thommo on the weekend so unless you want to bring in 6 players who havent shown a lot we are in serious trouble

Sounds like Brown and Tex will be fine and Lynch another week

Thommo wont stay in
Cornesy and rowey have spoken
Milera out
Greenwood in
Thommo is important for team balance. Despite that balance being thrown out by the inclusion of greenwood who is younger faster and better now

So the only part of what I wrote that you reply to was the general statement of 50%?
Just so you know, the AFL website says he had a Disposal efficiency of 60%. 13 kicks, 7 Handballs.

I can't believe that these people get paid to provide football insight and expert opinion

This bloke gives me diarrhea. Cant stand looking at him and listening to his analysis.......and we "manage" a bloke that was contributing and a 10x better option than Thommosaurus and now conveniently they want an inform squad .......oh Clarke F##K OFF!

Clarke doesn't make selection decisions. Thompson won't play. Only if Pyke is overruled will he play. Luke Hodge retired graciously and said he didn't want to take the position on the field from a young developing player. Only wish Thompson put the team first and retired a couple of seasons ago when his form warranted it or the club had the guts to do what's best for the future.

Sending out Clarke to do these press conferences is akin to us running a closed training session

How is his Disposal bad when over half the team is worse

Mackay 73%

B Crouch 68%
M Crouch 71%
JJ 68%
Douglas 66%
Sloane 68%
Tex 66%
Gov 70%
Hampton 66%
Betts 62%
Atkins 72%
CC 61%
Jacobs 71%
Lynch 70%

Looking on it more to do with his Options than efficiency, he constantly selects the worst option and misses the open player. Last week he came out quick and kick to 1 on 2 while McGovern, JJ and CC at the time we free for the ball over the top. and when he did kick to then it was in front/short not over the top yes we still got the ball so that would be classed as an efficient kick but it was not the right choice.

You serious??

Gawn will beat Jacobs.
Gawn would monster JJ.

Himmelberg in a Darwin game with humidity and a likely greasy ball really??
Did you see Gawn in the weekend as he is really struggling.

BTW, I'm not a fan of playing JJ as #1 ruckman, particularly as he is finding decent form as KPF.
