As the Captain of the only flag winning side in my life time Wood gets some sort of GOD status.Adams always starts a bit rusty after injury from memory so I would bring him back via vfl. Morris straight in as he is a demigod.
Not sure about Wood.
He has done it before and I would.Did someone seriously say Morris and 2s in the same sentence?
I don't think a full pre season is relevant considering he would've lost all of his fitness over the past 10 weeks. He may come back in the seniors but his first game back last year off a lengthy layoff was very ordinary, so there's no harm in playing a half in the VFL first to shake off some rust.

is he actually a terminator?Mark Stavens on 7news said that Morris ran 13km's at training today. The man is a machine.
The cavalry has arrived, our backline, painfully young and inexperienced have battled manfully to this point. Williams and Cordy, formerly the veterans will go back to their normal roles as players rather than directors. Moz and Wood back, partnered with possibly Adams will change the fortunes of our season. Expect a massive upset over in Adelaide this week. Massive. We're going to jump them like we did Round 4 2015.
Could put Crozier half forward instead of out.
Morris and Adams need a game before a recall IMO after long spells to get match conditioning. Wood straight in as a swingman, Roberts replaces Naughton and Trengove to share ruck/forward with Boyd. Young unlucky because I want another ruckman and can cover him with Wood. Like to give Webb another go but like the team balance and strength of the three ins.
Geez. I read that post 10 times and come up with a different interpretation every time.As the Captain of the only flag winning side in my life time Wood gets some sort of GOD status.
Not sure which and when I asked the Cardinal in the shower he said something about only one God...and to stop talking with my mouth full.
Great post. We need to understand that the young guys playing back are without experienced heads and bodies supporting them. Often these guys are asked to play above their station due to lack of other options.IF we can get Wood and Morris in with confidence, I’d give Young another go. A lot of his time in the team last year was without one or both of these leaders for a lot of that time and obviously this year as well. I think while Naughton is out, we can use this time to develop Young’s understanding of our defensive style with two experienced legends there to pick him up when he stuffs up and point out what he does right. May not work but rather get him develop than rush injury prone Adams back, lose him then have to bring Young back anyway. Just my opinion

You have Macrae twiceLove to see trengove come in to help in defence and the ruck.
Out - naughton
In - wood
Out - young

I’d let it fly as well and pick schache to allow us to maintain a forward target when Boyd rucks
Out - honeychurch
In - Schache

Perhaps we should temper our expectations on the "cavalry" coming to our rescue. Wood's form has been modest for some time and Moz, despite his cyborg qualities, will be underdone in match fitness and touch. Don't expect too much - yet.
