Who realistically expects to win next week ?
Hands up.

Priming myself for exactly the same result ( but a better seat lvl.3 )

Crowd of just over 17k will file in late, they'll be the " make some noise " guy, the individual player introduction to a smattering of applause, flashing lights, we'll start with 0.3 then G.C.will get going. Players slipping over, turnovers, a Kerridge from a Sun, Cobden 50m penalties x 2 Xerri v Witts / Moyle combination, Petracca, Anderson, Rowell, Miller with 100 possessions between them, goals from Noble & Rioli off a h.b.f. The G.C.triple towers up forward v Logue & one of Pink or Corr will come in.

Recurring nightmare.
I am going to sit in the bar before the game get pissed to dull the pain and hopefully I don’t offend too many North fans sitting around me Screaming at umpires and the crap that I am sure we will see.

Changes matter to a degree.

However it won’t matter who we bring in if we play with the mindset we did through the crows game.

So much of this is mental it’s not funny.

Who ever is dropped needs to be a senior player.

Dropping a kid does nothing at all.

Logue would be first on the chopping block for me. Some of his efforts are appalling.

Hardeman has to play.

Unfortunately the day you want the 2's to stand up they stunk.

OUT: Davies-Uniacke (inj/rest), Logue, McDonald, Zurhaar (all omitted)
IN: Hardeman, Pink, Harvey, B. George

Positional changes:

Caleb Daniel to HFF
McKercher to wing
Harvey to HBF
Hardeman to BP
Trembath to take CBA ruck duties. Xerri starts at CHB and then rotates on-ball as Trembath rotates forward.
Dawson plays a primary KPD role

Wow, that crows game just got me, early in that first quarter if we kicked straight and cut out those stupid 50 metre pen and regular silly free kicks we might have been onto something but we missed those shots and then the silly EASY GOALS to the crows was all a waisted effort, to then get smacked by 12 goals while appearing to have given up, that was the worst game I've seen in our whole rebuild, the effort after 1/4 time was very bad, give credit to the crows they played very well but knowing our players, I don't even know what happened. Might not be popular but some changes for next week in my book: in: Hardeman, George, Whitlock, Powell. out: Daniel, Zurhaar, Konstanty, rested: Trembath.

The last game of 2024 was 50x worse than yesterday. The game before that was worse too.

We had 10 goal losses in 2020 that were worse. Where we played the whole game like the second quarter and it was only the shrotened games that stopped the loss being twice as heavy - 20 goals. Josh bruce kicked 10 goals on Good Friday once. About 30 games in 2022 that were worse too.

Hands up.
Nope.

How could anyone expect anything.

Was just starting to trust we’d get effort every week and now that is gone.

We are back to square one on the trust front.

We are only as good as our last game and currently we’re shithouse.

Time for Logue and Happy Meal to make way.

I’m going with the below depending on how LDU pulls up.

Harvey Dawson Parker
Hardeman Comben McKercher
Stephens LDU Simpkin
Duursma Larkey Sheezel
Curtis Trembath Darling

Xerri Wardlaw FOS

Zurhaar Blamires ??? ??? ???

The last 3 bench spots can be fought out between Daniel, Konstanty Spargo Powell or whoever deserves a call up from the VFL. As long as Logue and Happy Meal are sent to the VFL. For experienced players these two continually make dumbarse mistakes that you would expect from a sub 10 gamer.

Agree with much of that, but AO is like 6 metres skinnier than Marvel. It also has less surface area than any regularly used AFL field except Kardinia.
Hence why it’s so baffling how we can’t play decently there.

AO and KP are both narrower, longer grounds than Marvel (or the MCG).

5-10m longer than the grounds in Vic and most grounds.

I’m not sure the ground dimensions explain guys fumbling, over running the ball, slipping over and making terrible decisions.

Let’s face it we have a lot of dumb footballers on this team that make the same basic mistakes regardless of the ground.

What's that got to do with it?

What's that got to do with it?
The ground makes no difference the brainless clowns we have in this side make the same deadshit mistakes on Marvel.

It’s why you lose games like last week where you actually dominate an opposition.

When the opposition dominates us, you get yesterdays result.

It means it shouldn't be used as an excuse. We got out worked yesterday, and not for the first time out coached. I don't think the ground had anything to do with it.

Did either of you read the question he asked that i responded to? We couldn't win there when we were playing finals for three weeks in a row.

The ground yesterday had nothing to do with that result.

Yesterday Adelaide were gettable and our players played like a pack of school footballers.

The same result would have happened on any ground in the country playing like that.

We weren't talking about that but I'm happy for you.

In the second quarter they had a pressure rating of nearly 300. The theoretical limit for pressure ratings.

Why was that? Our midfield got smashed but there were times when our midfield was LDU and four players under 22. It was pretty pissweak from some older guys like LDU and X. Colby McKercher made more tackles than X.

I just don’t know how they keep going unchanged when clearly the issues are always there to be seen. McDonald, Logue, Daniel. All may have good few games at the start but **** that’s it.

Issues not finishing Stephens, LDU.

Not knowing what they’re doing out there. Larkey, Konstanty, Zuurhar
You can add comben to the not knowing what he’s doing out there.

I don’t give a flying **** how athletic you are he ****ed us by not having an ounce of football nous yesterday.

Maybe we do need weitering after all. The best key defenders look to be the smartest.

Combens in our dumbest 3 footballers. And there’s a ****ing lot of them

Most of our i50s were shallow as ****. They then went to take a quick short kick before overlapping.

Pretty easy game this

North Melbourne announced that due to the performance of the North vfl team there will be no changes to the senior side this week against the GC.

And then l wake up...

Out: McDonald Powell Spargo
In: Hardeman Harvey Dovaston

B: Hardeman Dawson Logue
HB: Parker Comben Harvey

C: Stephens FOS Simpkin

HF: Konstanty Larkey Sheezel
F: Curtis Trembath Dovaston

R: Xerri LDU Wardlaw

I: McKercher Daniel Blamires Darling Zurhaar

The Suns have talent across every line, but their ability to shift from HB is elite. Noble, Rioli, Anderson, Rodgers et al have to be shut down if there is any hope of victory.

FOS to Anderson
Parker to Petracca
Wardlaw to Rowell
Konstanty to Rioli
Dovaston to Noble
LDU to Miller

Larkey may need to act as decoy. We naught need to play Zurhaar up forward to let Trembath and Curtis off the chain.

After this, I have zero confidence. Gold Coast by 96.
Bit harsh on Powell.

exacltly, the conditions were good enough for crows to score 11 goals in about 23 minutes.

I want 4+, expect a p!ssweak 1 or 2...

Out options: JK / Spargo, Lounge / LMac / Zurhaar, Trembath / Larkey / Darling, Blamires / Daniel

In options: Hardeman, Harvey, Banch, George, Whitlock, Pink, Powell, Mikunda.

Replace poor 1sts form with good 2nds form ffs.

Not sure why we’ve gone away from Trembath as the second ruck to be fair.

Hes been the best bloke in there and pretty much pulled us over the line against the blues
