Look, Suban wasn't terrible and you can't just play a kid if he doesn't deserve it.
Just hope they're ready to drop him when the kids are playing well and deserve it because there is no way Suban should be playing week in, week out.
The blocking or whatever you call it to justify his selection just isn't enough, needs to have more impact especially after the amount of games he's played.
Don't even mind him as a rotation/depth player, but no chance he is and will ever be "best 22" from now on.

Probably gotta give him more than a week to see what he can offer, yeah he wasn't terrible last night but he'll need to do more to warrant his selection over a kid, or even the likes of De Boer/Pearce to justify his selection.

Disagree nobody does thing like suban in our best 22. His goal, blocking , brainless burst out of pack , giving opposition free , holding the ball is very unique in his own way. Can't see any player can fill this role in future ,just like Mayne their flaw are very special and elite.

I don't rate Suban, just don't see the point of getting bent out of shape about it as it will accomplish nothing. We're of course free to share our opinions but ultimately it will have no impact on the decision making of him retaining his position or being dropped.
Would love Langdon/Tucker etc to take his spot, but only if they deserve it (not saying Suban deserves it really, but a mature player is probably a better decision to play an under performing kid and them losing confidence).

That's why you got to rate suban , he got no usefulness playing for peel. All this kid we had under 23 learn more playing for peel than playing along with him. There is no turning back for suban either best 22 for freo or delisted/trade material

Suban isn't best 22 in the seniors but I hope you noticed that without him and De Boer in the midfield for Peel the midfield were towelled up. I want Peel in the finals and a premiership contender so Suban is a must for Peel.

You are there vs Claremont and Perth , hannath ruck and Smith and uber occasionally pitch hitting with deboer as the running mid. Now you got two ruckmen , one slow another lost interest with effort and with heavy rain before the match minus deboer , thus the match structure wise we already lost before the match start.

It is indeed mind boggling. He was emergency last night yet at the end of the day they preferred Zac Dawson as a pinch hitter. I reckon give Tanner a crack and he can pinch hit.

Tabs is the slowest player in the afl. It's a shame Clarke who is athletic is such a pea heart

crozier cops a lot of criticism. I think we should perservere with him, he has good moments, which is more than suban/mayne can offer. I understand mayne kicked a few goals last game, but they were all gimmes, at least croziers showed something. Good reading of the play to take the mark ... he tackles hard and leads hard at the ball, is capable of kicking goals and IMO deserves a crack.

EDIT - so often we kick long bail out balls and our forwards are slow to read the drop of the ball and not quick enough on their feet to get to the contest. I think we need more pace in our forward line.
Ballantyne shows an intent to get to contests often and is outmarked due to his small figure, but I think crozier is the one with both pace and ability in the air to really make a contest.

So often mayne/suban/tabs/griff dont even get near long high balls that players further away from them reach.

When you are out numbered in the forward line the ball delivery must be precise.
