I wonder what the reason is to keep Sam Gray in? (Apart from he deserves a 2nd chance).

Wholesale change just never works. Anything more than 3 possibly means you are a fairly ordinary side anyway but I can't think of a side that's had 4 changes and then gone on to win a game.

Whoever was stupid enough on the selection committee to promote Gray to the senior list and pay him the corresponding wage would want at least one more game out of him before they admit they got it spectacularly wrong.

As for Moore - if the club thought that what he did was so heinous and was going to not play him for it, why bother wasting time on an appeal? Next week, Brendon Ah Chee will have played less game time than Moore has, since he was sub in the AFL when Andrew played a full game and pushed the umpire.

Just about the weakest side (even if players were in form) I can remember us picking for the past year.

In the current form of Schulz, Lobbe and Westhoff, I can't see us taking enough inside 50 marks to kick more than 8-10 goals again.

Moore and Young must be wondering where too now?

Hard to prove anything when your team has a bye. Moore hasn't proved anything since he's been back. I'm a huge Moore fan but he he has to prove himself after that dumb move.

If Amon is sub I'll be pissed. I'm not sure how Gray jumped ahead of him in the pecking order.

This would possibly be the worst game to debut Harvey ever. You thought he was unift, he'll last 4 minutes, may not even survive the warm up and get subbed out in the alice springs conditions theres too much humidity. I am actually glad we've gone pretty short and give players with elite endurance full games; amon and clurey. I'm pretty sure they're playing 2 rucks they'll gas easy which means early sub use

The team announcement weren't that bad. Sam gray keeping his spot is the only real mistake. And if he's made sub it really won't seem like that big a deal
I would have liked Neade in Gray's place for form and Indigenous round but otherwise looks ok.

I am confident we can turn our form around. Our skill errors were deplorable last week in particular with S Gray one of the worst offenders with 3 of the many out on the full kicks and choosing not to block for team mates.

Hombsch -- Carlile -- Impey
Krak -- Brogsy -- Pittard
P Stewart -- T Boak -- B Ebert
R Gray -- J Westhoff -- C Wingard
Amon -- Schulz -- MOnfries
Foll: Lobster -- Hammer - Wines
I/C: Jonas --Matt White -- Tom Clurey
Sub: S. Gray

S.Gray to only come on if their is a injury as he adds absolutely nothing to the team, even if he comes on fresh for final quarter, would rather play with an injured Krak or Amon TBH

Jacko injured or not, Clurey had to get a go and hopefully an extended one.
Coz if not, I think he may be lured away from us at seasons end.
After last week I thought Jakey (NT boy and indigenous Rd after all) would be in over Sam Gray, still what do I know.
Paddy,Jacko,Polec lucky its only the crows that have injuries
If Sammy turns in another game like last week and the Hoff Schulzy Hammer and others don't lift we will lose this game
Then its all but finals gone and me spitting feathers.
Tough on P Stewart brought in way late for a must win game.
Our selections (or non selections) this year beginning to look like our disposal efficiency.
Missing the target

When so many people are so horribly out of form, the coaching staff really have no other option than to promote the people who have been performing in the SANFL. From all reports that is P Stewart and S Gray. I'd rather an in-form Moore or Neade but neither has done enough to demand selection.

Lets just back in the 22 picked top get down and dirty and kick a winning score - no matter what it takes.

With Ryder injured, we need Sam Gray's marking power.

And good on him. Shows that he doesn't make irrational decisions based off emotion like some of us supporters want
Showed that he hasn't got the balls to drop an undeperforming so called 'star'. How about making decisions based on getting embarrassed by bottom side Brisbane, or only kicking 5 goals on a perfect night against struggling mid packers Richmond, or losing all but 1 home game so far this year. Nah everything's fine, lets not make changes.

moore and Neade have done more than enough to come back in the side above blokes that have struggled all year.

Moore and Neade's form has been fine for AFL selection, particularly Moore's. Don't mind Stewart being selected, he's earned it, but geez there's a few lucky boys in the AFL team this week.

I am a little crazy but I actually like the balance of this side.
The balance is as about as good as it gets for us at present if players play to a level we have seen when we were at our best. One ruckman works better for us we have had one tall too many in the side for mine we can work out who's of more value Lobbe or Westoff this week and next assuming we give Paddy next week off as well. Am a little concerned about Bobby if he's carrying an injury. He goes out we have problems. Sam Gray in the last quarter as sub is Kens best hope of making upgrading him look like a good move.

Your Moore, Young & Stewart types do appear to have to do more to earn selection than some others. These guys have to spend weeks gaining form in the 2's to get a call up and then are normally dispatched after 1 poor game in the AFL. At the same time we've had bolters in Ah Chee, Amon and Sam Gray come from nowhere to earn an AFL selection and lets be honest have all seemed out of their depth but they are now above the likes of Moore and Young in the selectors pecking order. We would've needed to make 4-6 changes for Young and Moore to get a sniff and 4 changes is about the maximum amount of changes you can really make.

Glad to see Stewart finally get selected, he got what he deserved.

And Matt White is definitely the lucky gold pass recipient. He has been woeful all year. I understand the coaches backing in the likes of Westhoff and Hartlett to turn around their poor form but does Matt White have a enough runs on the board to continue to receive the gold pass. I haven't seen a limited edition gold pass of this kind since the Michael Pettigrew days.
