It should have been ball, but was called a dangerous tackle - same as Dangerfields on Walsh, yet he got a week. The main issue is the unpredictability of the MRP.

Very glad he didn’t get sighted.

Hopefully it’s more Rowbottom getting drawn in to tackle Fyfe who releases to Young, Serong or Bradshaw. We don’t want Rowbottom free to tackle those other guys
 
we’re all worried about how our defence will mitigate their goal scoring and that just plays into their hands. The proactive approach would be to make sure we can compete in midfield, tag one of Warner, guilden or Heeney, and maybe play Jacko as a mid.

We have a few other players around the traps, say Serong or Brayshaw?

If for some whacky reason we decided they weren't up to it there's a dual Brownlow winning ex-captain who could probably fill in in a pinch.

I was trying to remember who captain last year, but it slips my mind. I think Serong or Brayshaw will do it.

Coaches are going to have to be experimental in order to hold on for a few weeks until Cox gets back.

Jackson is good enough down back. For one, would love for Jl to stop pigeonholing him as a forward. He’s capable of playing any position on the day.

This means Voss comes in and the three talls still there.

Hughes v Amartey/McDonald/McLean. Would be destroyed

Massive game for our mids, if they can’t at least halve it with Sydney’s midfield it won’t matter who comes in for Pearce.
Fyfe & JOM are important as well, they’re leadership in helping Serong & Brayshaw with the group is going to be vital. They can’t have it all resting on their young shoulders.
 
Looking forward to an incredibly average forward like McLean getting ahold of one of our 5 game key backs and the media losing their minds over what a gun he is
 
According to a highly opinionated silver spoon poster AP is rubbish and we won't have any problems with him being out. That's solace enough for me. Brashaw or Serong can take the skippers job from here.

Who doesn't rate Pearce this year? He was real ordinary last year but he's been great all 2024.

No thanks, The reason Amiss & treacy get so many 1 on 1's now is because jackson is up forward

I'd guess be Hughes Ryan & Chapman take the talls this week

Just a different perspective on the classic overrated question. Who do you believe is your clubs most overrated player, from your own fans and the general media? From our own fans, it was definitely Zerk-Thatcher during trade week, but now I think it's Sam Draper. He has that cult hero status...

3 weeks for Pearce is best case scenario
We have a free hit to swans
Tigers lost lynch for our match up so that evens up the loss of Pearce should win that
Get cox back for hawks who don’t have great tall fwds

In saying that I do like the voss in for Pearce and play Jackson at CHB call
 
Jackson is a great match up for McLean. I would do it. McLean is a powerful mark but not very classy. Jackson could probably even provide some intercept marking and run off McLean a bit.

All our other defensive options will get monstered by McLean.

Jackson - McLean
Ryan - McDonald
Davies - Amartey
Voss - forward
