Weird to omit McInnes at this stage for Mutimer when they can just do a simple four in today and four out tomorrow.
EDIT: I guess the emergencies must come from the extended bench so that makes sense.
Probably significantly less than tomorrow arvo when the team is namedWe'll know more about the ins/outs when East Perth run out on Sat arvo.
Who the **** is MutimerClearly they are bringing Mutimer in for a head to head with Dustin Martin.
Averaging 15 touches, 2.4 marks and 0 goals per game in the WAFL. With dominant stats like that, what's not to like?![]()
This has to be the longest interchange I have seen in years.
Because there are now 4 emergencies per game instead of 3Well, since last year anyway.
Extended interchanges (typically for Sunday games) are now 8 instead of 7 for some reason.

AFL trying to crack down on late change shenanigans, I thought - they added an extra player to the extended interchange / emg list, but also added further restrictions about making changes to the listed players after naming them.Which just leads to further questions - why did they increase the emergency list? Not that it's bad or anything, in fact I believe you should have unlimited emergencies and do whatever you want to back up for your first 22 for the game.

Can't find the info on it anymore, and of course the AFL website hasn't updated their regulations doc since 2017.
Probably all just to appease betting agencies![]()
Mutimer's been moved into defence now, so not really the same position. I guess they want coverage in case one of our small defenders doesn't get up which is pretty important this week against Richmond's mosquito fleet.
Would say that this looks worse for Watson than Parto tbh.
yeh, I'm confused, theres 8 on emergencies with 3 to be omitted, leaving 5 right? - basic maths I know, but why some here still got 4 left on the bench, did i miss something?
..and would they bring Mutimer straight in without being named before..horses for courses?
