B: McMahon Thompson Firrito
HB: MacMillan Hansen Atley
C: Adams Ziebell Wells
HF: Harper Thomas Harvey
F: Edwards Petrie Campbell
R: Goldstein Swallow Bastinac
I: McIntosh Anthony Cunnington Wright
E: Pederson Mullet Greenwood Tarrant.

**** me that was difficult. Atley, Campbell, Anthony and Cunnington are all lineball each week at the moment. Cant believe were struggling to fit in Pederson, Mullet, Greenwood, Tarrant and Narni aswell.
Not to mention the boys down at NB ie the Keys, Cruize and Black.

Is Tarrant a cert to return? Or do we go with Pederson. Does Mullet make way for Jack? Levi wheres he at? And how long do we leave Narni in the VFL.

I have a feeling that Cam Richardson will get a game very soon, just a hunch.

Luke Delaney could be the bigger body we need to play this week against Hawkins and Podsiadly. He played well for Nth Ball last week and he may just replace his brother, Cameron!

He won't drop a ruck after all preseason he has been talking about making the two rucks thing working.
It must be just a rocket to fire Goldy up.

Or SEN is full of shit.

Either way....

Will. Not. Happen.

100% efficiency will give him another week if Bon can be believed in wanting our skills to be the improving factor

I believe JZ will be in for an injury or Wright/Atley. and a bigger bodied defender in for Mullet/Wright.

I only Believe that really we need to bring in JZ and the player that comes out will be a utility future mid like Atley/Wright/Mullet/Cunners/Harper.

I really dont think we need bigger body in defence we did ok against bombers.

So if we bring in a bigger body it will be to replace a utility spare keys needs to stay to see how his DE% is effected by greater pressure.

We need to not thow out the baby with the bath water JZ in no other definite in my view.

Watched both games again to back up my view and defence is good lets test it against a better fwd line. Would love to see spare keys spend the day trying to stop StevieJ

Delist Petrie now.
Too old, not much good and wife had female offspring.

Now we're talking sense.

While we are at it get rid of Boomer too. Poor performance against GWS. Should have racked up 60 possessions against those kids.

32 possessions (or thereabouts) well below par and his offspring (if male) are likely to be short people and won't make the grade.

Is anyone able to work out what strummaster is talking about? Most posts seem to require a fair amount of headscratching to decipher.

Cam Delaney stays

Ziebs the only in and in for injury or Wright/Atters

Perhaps a bigger bodied defender for Mullett/Wright, but not sold that we need a bigger body.

Wants C Delaney to take Stevie J.

Ill put it simple for you Cam Delaney stays as his efficiency of disposal was 100% on the weekend (3rd on our list also in 1%ers) and all preseason Bon (Brad Scott) was saying our focus is on improvement of our efficiency of disposal.

Jack Ziebel in is IMHO (in my humble opinion) is the only required change I believe he will come in to replace an injured player or Wright/Harper/Mullet/Atley/Cunnington as he plays the same role as them but better.

Our defence has played well over the last 2 weeks with the size adequate for my liking I dont see a need to change for the sake of bringing in a bigger body as Thompson will do good on Hawkins like he did well all other games against Geelong on Mooney. Spud on Pods and CamD on Stevie J to give him a increased learning curve something he did not get this weekend.

My thoughts exactly :):)

Can't see Sam Wright being dropped anytime soon. Nor should he be.

Also I think Goldy's attack at the contest has more to do with his form than anything the coach has done. On form, McIntosh is in front of him for sure. Both stay at the moment for sure though.

Geelong will probably have Podsiadly, Hawkins and West/Stephenson down there at some point. Another strong bodied defender is a must. Hansen is fit, he is in.

JZ obviously and the temptation to bring Levi back is growing in my mind by the minute.

In: Zeibell, Hansen, Greenwood
Out: Thomas (assuming he's inj) Campbell, Mullett (stiff fishy, but you'll be back)

OUT
Campbell, Delaney
IN
Ziebell, Hansen
I'd actually add 1 more change to the above.
IN: Pedersen
OUT: Mullett or Jmac

B: McMahon Thompson Firrito
HB: Atley Hansen Wright
C: Anthony Ziebell Bastinac
HF: Boomer Petrie Adams
F: Thomas McIntosh Edwards
R: Goldy Swallow Wells
I: Cunnington Harper Pedersen
S: Mullett/Jmac

Key match ups
Thompson-JPOD
Hansen-Hawkins
Ziebell-Selwood
Swallow-Bartel
Petrie-Taylor
McIntosh-Lonergan
Goldy-West

Thanks mate. Any chance that the punctuation (full stops, commas and the like)/grammar might get a guernsey one day?

The simple version seemed to be strangely reminiscent of the original version insofar as punctuation/grammar is concerned.

ill put it even more simple. No! This is a post not a Thesis. As with any post Its my opinion not my gramar that I offer. If that concerns you skip my posts..................... :)

Sorry to get off topic, but was this an official stat or is it made up? I'm certain he kicked one out on the full on the outer side in the 3rd quarter... Plus there was also a throw & running too far paid against him (neither of which obviously count as stats). So, he basically had 3 turnovers.

FWIW, I think he should stay though. Just surprised if the official stats said he had 100% efficiency.

2 x free against no disposal counted for running to far, and a throw is not a disposal.

and there are 2 clangers against him i'd say oobotf was one.

and it is an official stat.

.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,

Did i read correctly? Someone suggested Cam Delaney starts on Stevie J? Hahahahahahahaha! Pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

I can understand calls for Cam Delaney to stay in the side as he did well last week but the reality is that Geelong have two 100kg+ key forwards in their side plus a likely resting ruck if need be too. Cam is not strong enough to play on these guys and we are undersized as it is with Thompson and Spud. We need to bring in another defensive tall with some size, hence the calls for Keys or Hansen. If this occurs then Cam goes. That's fine, he has now been given a taste and can go back and dominate at VFL level.

Cam would probably be found out by Podsiadly or Hawkins for strength, but I'd be quite comfortable lining him up on the West/Stephenson. Yes, he'd be giving away height, but so would anyone else. Neither of these blokes are 10 year AFL monsters strengthwise. I reckon he'd cope ok. In the limit times I have seen him he does appear to have very good judgement and ability to read the play.

Hansen has to come in to play on one of Pods/Hawkins.

Pedo provides greater flexibility than McIntosh and I think Goldy would relish the chance to play solo as Geelong doesnt really have a dominant ruck now that Ottens has gone.

Ziebs is a no-brainer. Comes in at the expense of Campbell.
