Prediction Changes vs. Brisbane

I have this nightmare that Young gets 35 possessions today and kicks 6 goals.
This is brilliant. I hope your next nightmare is a premiership victory....

Or even a dream about only getting 5 numbers in lotto.... As long as you let me know what those numbers were

Howard Houston are my non-negotiables. Ken can GAGF otherwise.

Young definitely deserves to and Ken will be happy to oblige.

Would love to see Neade, Atley and Drew in as well but I won't get greedy. Realistically Ken won't swing the axe without first giving his boys a crack to redeem themselves against the pride of Brisbane town.

I want front row seats to the melts when we the changes are

In Neade Young
Out Ah Chee Toumpas

I'm sure people will melt if Neade is brought in but after last nights complete lack of defensive effort bringing someone in who has been getting insane tackle numbers in the maggies for weeks now makes sense.

Impey does some wonderful things undoes all his good work with his mistakes, needs some time in the sanfl.

S Gray has been good for most of the season but his shots on goal when actually needed are soul destroying - not sure what to do with him.

Hartlett needs to go for Houston.

Dougs amazing today, I wouldn't mind seeing him in but not sure that one game against a weak opposition is enough to be sure, 50/50 for me.

Would like to see Doogy come in
Would like to see someone debut
You shake your head but Young delivered and goes well after getting dropped.

This is a good point re: Young. A few people seem annoyed that he will waltz back in after one game, but the positive is that it might actually make Hinkley realise the benefit of dropping someone. They will work harder, fire up and hopefully play themselves back into form.

I didn't see the magpies game but if Howard kicks 8 is that an automatic inclusion? Seems like Young will be back. So Young for Toump then who moves for Howard?

Lol. Our firsts have butchered the ball kicking inside fifty , lacked marking targets up forward , and lacked defensive gut running through the midfield and you want to bring in a scrub-kicking easily brushed aside by first year players midget who racks up a whopping 10 touches most afl games and only turns up every third SANFL game that we happen to dominate?

Neade is the last player that should be allowed in our afl side right now. I would pick irra before him and I thought irra was undraftable up to several weeks ago.

He needs to do it for 20 weeks in a row

Hoping Sam Gray, then Hartlett moves to the wing and Jacko then goes back to be an extra tall defender and Doogie goes up forward.

Is Broady really playing that well?

Toumpas and Ah Chee are the obvious outs this week.

Ken said in his presser that "I'll back them to respond".
Expect minimal changes. Flog Brisbane and the fairy tale continues.

Remind me again *exactly* what Hamish said.

Because if it is just the bolded bit, the rest of your post is a great example of three things.

One, a classic vector of fakenews formation - paraphrasing a superficially impressive but ultimately unqualified person to support a pre-existing bias.

Two, hypocrisy: It's OK to bag Hamish's apparent on field performance while also taking an off field statement of his as a serious "proof" of something.

Three, ignoring obvious counter-examples that give the lie to conspiracy theories: Gus is a few months younger than White, a few months older than Westhoff.

Four, ignoring the self-serving subtext of Hamish's comments: "yeah I'm doing just enough, other folks are under scrutiny, not me". OK I might be stretching things myself here, but you can see how it all gets out of hand...

Don't get me wrong, I want Westhoff out and Howard in as soon as the next opportunity comes up (that would be this week). I cheered White's chance and lamented his injury. I'm pretty keen to see Houston back and **** me wouldn't mind if he replaced Hamish this week. And up until this week's SANFL riot I thought Monfries was likely to be back and end the Young/Toump/Neade rotating circus. I just think it's got nothing to do with any kind of conscious age bias, just that age and certain types of re-injury risks correlate.
He said exactly that when asked straight out by Choco if Angus' papers were stamped because at the age of 30 he's seen as too old.

At first he skirted around the question saying that if Gus continues to perform the way he has he 'might' get a look in at some point if an injury occurs to someone already in the best 22.

I just took exception to the "Ken will be more inclined to play the youth" line because we're not developing a side to contend in 4-5 years time, we should be taking a page out of Bevo's and the Dogs books & go for it even if no one else thinks it's your time.

Gus plays last night he keeps old man Kelly accountable & it might not have won us the game but he would've nailed those easy shots sGray + numerous others missed & he wouldn't have done his calf today in the SNAFL.

So personally I'd repick the side from the ground up and dump more of our backline but I doubt that's going to happen. Instead I think these would be realistic changes.

FF: Wingard, Dixon, Westhoff
HF: Young, Howard, White
C: Boak, Ebert, Polec
HB: Hartlett, Trengove, Pittard
FB: Jonas, Clurey, Broadbent
R: Ryder, Wines, R Gray
INT: SPP, Atley, S Gray, Houston
EMG: Neade, Austin, DBJ

Westy settled forward. Howard in. Trengove back. White replaces the poor foot skills of Impey, in fact I'd look at moving Impey back to defence in the SANFL. Boak to the wing, play him around the ball and stop ****ing around with this bullshit half forward role that has been failing for years. R Gray back into the midfield to get back into some form, if he can't play 70-80% midfield he doesn't play at all. HH and Pittard extremely lucky. Hombsch out. Atley IN.

So for me:
IN: White, Young, Howard, Atley, Houston
OUT: Toumpas, Impey, Hombsch, AhChee, DBJ

Hartlett can't lay a tackle to save his life. He's slow as all ****. He's embarrassing himself out there. He should approach our soft **** coach & say he's not up to AFL standards mentally & physically. Only then we can permanently replace him. He's the tip of the iceberg too !!

I'd like to give Hartlett a go up the ground as a winger/forward flanker and for him to use his weapon of a boot. It's clear he can't defend for nuts.

Disappointing he couldn't perform like he did vs Hawthorn.

Just watched that chase he didn't do in the pocket. Seriously Ken there are problems there.
