Not sure how Fergy, the Biz and Rivers went in the magoos, do we need to make any changes?
BTW Rigoni has assured himself a spot next week. That was a very good performance on Saturday night.

Should be interesting, seeing as Carroll had a great attacking role on Saturday.

Armstrong is out though for Whelan, Bell might be unlucky.

The main question for me is, who do we play on Lloyd? Carroll looked good on Saturday night but I'm not sure how he would go, who do we go with out of Carroll, Nicho, Fergy and Rivers?
Bell should go IMO. Still has a fair bit of developing to do.

Bell has skills no doubt but his decision making is slow and poor atm unfortunatly.

Rivers i reckon should get first crack on lloyd with Carroll on lucas. swap em if need be during the game. Nicholson will probably play 2 incase they rest Hille up forward

I would like to see Read stay in the side to intimidate and Bug the midfielders like Jason Johnson to go nuts.

Surely Wheatley should get first go at Lloyd - pace, reach.

IMO Read should go for Whelan, and maybe Bell (or Nicho) for Rivers.

If we can hold Lloyd and Lucas we have already gone a long way to winning. If they fire we will be in trouble but if we hold them I’m confident we can win.
Wheatley could go with Lloyd on the lead, but I’d rather save him for Hird considering Bruce is out and Bruce usually goes straight to Hird. Lloyd is also deceptively strong and I wouldn’t like to see him one-out with Lloyd in the goalsquare. Rivers perhaps, or Carroll/Fergy if we have some trouble.
I’d keep in Nicho as melbournemartin said Hille may rest forward and that could be a problem so Nicho can take him.
I think with the form Whitey is in I think he can dominate the ruck this week. He may be worried by Hille pushing forward but all he needs to do is keep running as they don’t really have a decent 2nd ruck (Bradley sometimes rucks for them) and I’d like him to ruck the whole game again. He plays a lot better when he’s our main ruck for 95% of the game.

Rivers would be a better matchup vs Lloyd then Wheatley because he is overall more skilled as a defender and yes, Lloyd is strong....wouldn't call him deceptivly strong though he does have fairly big arms. Rivers seems to be able to get a fist him 9 times outa 10 and deserves first crack imo.

Well Bizzell was the pick of the backmen on Saturday at Sandy, but not sure if he will still get a run.

Whelan may play, he'd be in for Bell. Ferguson and Rivers will probably be included, maybe for Armstrong and Read.

Plus it looks as though Miller may miss, so we could possibly stick Fergie up forward like they do at Sandy?

I’d give him a crack up there. Has actually looked quite good and who knows, maybe he could have a bit of an impact. We should be careful though in how many talls we take into this game, I don’t think we should take a backup ruck as Whitey always rucks better when it is just him and Holland does the ruck up forward.
Lloyd IMO is pretty strong and a lot of people don’t realise that, but after watching Rivers on Brown when we played the Lions he should get a go. If we get some trouble from a tall forward Fergy could go down there and perhaps Rivers up forward, just to mix it up a bit considering Miller’s out?

I would play Rivers on Lucas, much in the same way he played on Jon Brown. Lucas is more of a roamer and Rivers athleticism and reach would be more suited in this application IMO. I would probably start Carrol on Lloyd (never thought I'd say that before!) 'cause he's played pretty well on some similar style forwards in recent times.
Ferguson would be handy to play up forward if Miller doesn't come up.
