I thought I read somewhere that JMac is unlikely to get up for this week.

Spencer is a spud but we need some form of tree sitting on the bench to relieve Jamar.

Looking forward to seeing Jurrah back, but really keen to see Bail as well. This guy was ultra impressive back when we were playing some good footy early in the year.

If he is fit I'd have him straight in, but from reports we will take a cautious approach and make sure he is fully recovered.

It’s an interesting conundrum. Spencer as you say is a budding pure ruckman: he has good height, his core strength will (in bucket loads) come and what I love most of all is his courage. He is everything I want Stef Martin to be. He almost recklessly throws his body at the contest. But as we know his skills are disgraceful and he is truly a liability around the ground.

BUT what do we do… Gawn is a long long term prospect, Fitz I have high hopes but needs better endurance and strength so will take time, PJ is a Muppet, Martin needs to be traded to a club in need of a KPD and Meesen is finished. As for Newton, Miller and Dunn they are band aid solutions that whilst we develop we shouldn’t be doing.

As a side note how good was Watts without Miller in the side. I like the look of Dunn, Bate and Sylvia at HF with Watts (in time) out of the goal square flanked by Jurrah and Wonna.

Played his first game back from injury this weekend in the Casey Reserves. Showed very good skills, and some good pace I believe, but only played a half.

Sam Blease: Sam only played a half, kicked a couple of goals, made a couple of those trademark runs, so he would be pleased, and he looked unhindered.

Not sure JMac will be ready. I'd love to see Jurrah but he may also be given another week at Casey.

Jones seems to have been given varying projects this year and has had mixed results to be kind. I still think this is the sort of game he could make an impact in the middle. No Grimes or McDonald for support I hope Bailey gives him a regular task of finding the pill.

Reluctant to drop Jetta for an MCG game but something isn't right with him atm.

Very tough on Bartram here, he's been good but I am not sure if we'll need his match up this week. Cheney is fit and improving, this is a good game to keep him in and grow his confidence. Bail also has a great opportunity to take up where he left off. Garland making mistakes also but makes an impact at the 'G.

Spencer stays, as others have noted Jamar is being run into the ground. All Jake has to do is use his mass and crash into Ryder and Bellchambers and make them earn their taps.

Also I wouldn't bring Warnock back in until he has proven an improvement in application. In a bit of a spell atm and at 26 needs to be more reliable. An important player and he'll come good but a reminder that his spot isn't automatic doesn't hurt.

Just played his first game for Casey after hip surgery in the pre-season.

McDonald is still a week away, Jurrah will most likely have another week at casey (but i wanna see him in the side this week). Hughes will be doing well to play for melbourne considering he hasn't played for Casey since June 12.

Sylvia and Bail definite ins for mine, at the expense of Grimes and Jetta.
