Bastinac should be getting off the chain.

I don't think he has been as bad as some think but I'd like to know what job you think he did against the Gold Coast?

Not advocating his inclusion as I can't see anyone going out for him but:
I get what you're saying, but:Aish
Kolajasny (however you spell it)
Kelly (fck this one hurts)
And to a lesser degree Dunstan and Billings
Also, is this really Kayne Turner??? He looks even bigger, faster, stronger and just better than when I saw him play at arden st earlier this year. Can't wait to see him don the royal blue and white.
Ideally has the Cunnington sort of 'slow' build ... with stern look to match.I get what you're saying, but:
Kelly, Aish walking into ordinary/inexperienced midfields without much defensive responsibility
Billings a Mid/Fwd who can make his mark by kicking a few goals
Dunstan a mature-age inside mid
Kolodjashnij in a similar role and getting big wraps but haven't seen him so can't comment
While I agree we'd be even happier if Luke was more damaging with his kicking, no reason to be unhappy with his output so far and I don't think he's been gifted games to any unreasonable extent.
Dunstan isn't mature age. Maybe you meant mature body.I get what you're saying, but:

My mistake. I thought he was an overager. Google tells me he has a January birthday, so 19 already. Yes, definitely already has the big body.Dunstan isn't mature age. Maybe you meant mature body.
Hell yeah. If only I had my gifs folder handy.Unrelated, how quick are Turner's first 10 steps? Surprised he didn't leave a trail of flames behind him. That movement through traffic was a thing of beauty.
Future (how many games Boomer finishes on)-game player!Gun, freak, star... Get him in!!!
Geez we have a player there in Turner. Lot's of Boomer about him (except he tackles)
Needs to find a left foot though.
And on Wood........... i didn't realize he could kick 60 meter goals
I have no problem with the very reasonable principle that everyone is entitled to their opinion and of course, it encourages discussion where opinions differ, which is a good thing. But I have no interest in discussing football with those who have no clue and feel the need to advertise the fact.
I do think we've got our balance right, not necessarily with the three talls, but with the two smalls to accompany them. It's a (big) problem when we go into a game with three talls and only one genuine small forward (not including Patch in this because he plays up the ground a fair bit as well as the forward line). When you only have one small doing the majority of the work around three big men it's just too unpredictable to know where to go.Hmm.....not sure those two sentences match well together.
Anyway, on this Daw topic which has got so many people up in arms, my 2 cents is I don't think Daw deserves to be dropped off his recent efforts, far from it. But if conditions are not favourable I agree he could find it very difficult at night and if wet.
I would not be surprised at all if Scott takes a fwd out for team balance (rather than "dropped"). Black is very good at ground level so it won't be him, so it leaves Petrie or Daw. So you would think Daw is the first to go IF Scott heads that way.
Be interesting to see what happens at selection and if any late outs etc.
He was kicking with a massive breeze to the right of screen.**** me how far does he kick a ball?
I was there on Saturday and it was that play that got me most excited. He summed up the situation in traffic, cut through a few blokes and hit his team mate on the lead. It shows midfield capability. Luke Breust MkIIDunstan isn't mature age. Maybe you meant mature body.

are you comparing apples with apples or spuds with spuds??Ridiculously generalised statement. Let's compare him to some of his peers.
Can Shaun McKernan take off from HB and kick long goals?
Can Ben Griffiths chase down and tackle an opponent with the speed and ferocity of an inside mid?
How's his vertical leap compared to Jordan Lisle?
Who's a better set shot from outside 50, Majak or John "#8 2009 draft" Butcher?
He's being held up to some strange arbitrary standards.
are you comparing apples to apples or spuds to spuds??
Why bother comparing anybody to the hacks you mentioned!? They are all playing in the twos and deservedly so. Pointless argument.I'm comparing a key position player taken in the 2009-10 rookie draft to other key position players of a similar age and accessibility.
