We dropped Gibbs after a similarly terrible 27 possession game against Geelong earlier in the year.

I’m going to say Atkins v Dees was a worse overall game than Gibbs v Cats too.

Big call on debut but I think Ned would have the endurance and competitiveness to make Whitfield earn his touches (even though the wing will necessitate some free ball). Against Seed, Atkins or Mackay, I'm backing in Whitfield for Brownlow votes

CEY 10 contested possessions (equal 2nd for Adelaide) and 5 clearances (also = 2nd).....stepped up big time in the 2nd half and with Greenwood was the reason why we got on top of the midfield and won the game.

But yeah, you're right...he got "smashed".
