Changes vs Hawthorn

Fair enough. Do you have Ah Chee ahead of Moore as well?
No, But just this week I'd like to see how Arch would go with a full game.

Against Hawthorn? I wouldn't.

Ah Chee got his taste for AFL football and a deserved reward for putting in great performances with a win in his first game. He's seen the level he needs to be at. But against Hawthorn he'd be slaughtered the same way that Moore was slaughtered by having to come in against Sydney after we had won five games on the trot against the likes of GWS, Gold Coast and Melbourne.

You don't like Moore, fair enough. But sacrificing Ah Chee's development just so he can see what getting toweled up by a Hawthorn player is ludicrous.

Moore is a best 22 player returning from injury. He's had 2 great weeks in the SANFL and should be an inclusion into the 22 especially now that Wines is out. If Ah Chee misses that's footy. He'll have plenty of opportunities this year if he keeps his form up.

Moore is probably ahead of Ah Chee on the depth chart and I'd have no issue with us swapping them but I strongly dispute that he's in our fully fit 'best 22'. Aaron Young has well and truly taken his spot.

Wines gone for a month or two makes me wish we'd been able to hold on to Benny Newton. Young > Newton > Moore > Ah Chee on the fringe inside mid depth chart IMO. Newts' skills and goal kicking ability puts him above the other two in my mind.

There seems to be this continuous belief that Moore and Young can't co-exist in the same best 22. When fully fit, Moore has been selected at AFL level as well as all our finals in the past 2 years. Injury has been Moore's one limiting factor.

Young has come on in leaps and bounds in 2015 and in all likelihood will be a lock at AFL level as the season progresses but that doesn't mean that Moore falls out of our best team.

Of course they can but with a potentially fit Lobbe to come in as well as the fact Kern has already said Kornes returns who goes out to accomodate Moore as well as Young that doesnt upset midfield balance between inside and outside?

out: MONFRIES
WINES
YOUNG
in: STEWART
LOBSTER
CORNES
Monfries highest clangers with 5.... 3rd lowest disposal efficiency 54% .. watch the replay and watch him stuff up almost EVERY touch. Cant kick a ball past 35m just plain useless cant take a contested mark either.
Yep, spot on. Agree 100%.

Note:This isn't srs.

I think it's more that our best 22, pretty clearly to me, would be the weekend's side with Cornes and Lobbe replacing Ah Chee and Mitchell.

That said, with Wines out, Moore is the obvious replacement in that big bodied mid role. We just need him to go out and believe he's still big bodied at AFL level and play accordingly.

As soon as I saw the injury I assumed 6 weeks. I'm hearing it could be 4-8 weeks.

Hopefully the injury list tomorrow gives us some good news.

hopefully his amazing genetic structure gives him super healing powers. the avengers are in town, they may be able to help.

I'm not sure Moore is a automatic best 22? He's useful and his Sanfl form is great as is Young, Stewart and Ah Chee. My argument is that Moore has no upside, we have what we have Moore doesn't bring anything to the table that we don't get from Young or Ah Chee. I'm thinking Ah Chee and Young are as good now and have a higher ceiling.

Krak was really good and most probably pips impey in the back pocket position, his disposal and poise is far superior than impeys at the moment

we didn't see much of Ahchee but I don't think he's ready for AFL yet,

Id like to see Kornes run with hodge this week, if let this guy roam free in defence we have rocks in our heads

Time for Hartlett to play more in the guts now Ollie is out

Hope Lobbe is right, will lift the tackle count and contested possesions

Lets not make the same mistakeas last time, we have to put a hard tag on roughead (I think Hombsch could run with im where ever goes, midifield or forward)

Jonas to Gunston

Trengove filling space

The rest can go head-to-head, im a little worried about Breust & Rioli

id like to see Ryder and Schulz as permanent forwards, we need to stretch their defence and separate Gibson from being the 3rd man up

I'm praying for Lobbe's reappearance against Hawthorn. It would be a good tune-up for the Crows, which we just have to win.
If Ryder has problems playing against bulky guys like Sandilands, Hale is a not much easier task.
Lobbe would be better suited to the job.
But if it's wet it may not be the most opportune time for him to re-appear from injury. Aaah!

This simply isn't true. And I'm really confused as to why, in order for people to pump up the tyres of certain players, they feel the need to sink the boot into others.
Andrew Moore can be an absolute weapon and has some very, very good attributes. And as Forza said, there is simply no reason Moore and Young can't play in the same team, especially with Wines out.
Ah Chee has barely played a quarter of AFL football and people are already declaring he has a higher ceiling than Moore? Really?

I'm thinking Wines is replaced by Moore and AhChee goes out for Kane. If Lobbe comes up it'll be an interesting call but Mitchell might have to drop out.

Going to be an epic clash, hopefully everyone pulls up injury free cause we are going to need all hands on deck this week. We are developing but I don't think we are up there with Hawthorn just yet. Hopefully the loss of Wines doesn't hurt too bad and the home game atmosphere really helps.

Looks like it could be a wet one too, does any one know if we can take umbrellas into the ground? Would not want it to be raining for the walk over the bridge.

Cornes is simply a straight swap for Wines, some of the midfielders may have to be moved around to make sure we still have that grunt in the midfield. Until we know whether Lobbe will be back we can't be sure of what will happen. If Lobbe is back then I can only see Ah Chee going. He doesn't deserve to but neither does anyone else and it may not be best to throw him to the wolves.

I worry too much about the rain. The forecast is for medium chance of a shower some time Saturday according to the bureau, with no major weather system passing through next weekend. More often than not rain doesn't materialise on days like that.

As El_Scorcho posted above, with Wines going out, Moore can come in and it won't change our midfield balance.

There's probably a bit of confusion about what I mean by best 22. In the pre-season evolution thread, I had Moore in my best 22, but I also stated that our final 2 spots in our absolute best team could go to any of O'Shea, Moore, Impey, Neade and Young. Horses for courses. Over the course of this season that will obviously change, some players will lock themselves in to the 22 - Young is looking good to do that, while others may fall out. What I'm having trouble with, is Moore now being considered a top 30 player instead of a top 25 player at the very least. How is Ah Chee so highly rated after a 3 disposal game as sub on debut and Moore is left in the SANFL with Wines out injured? It's madness I tell ya.

Sorry to intrude guys, but I have a few questions.

With General Admin tickets, can I sit near the top of the Wanganeen stand?

Also, heard a bit about the $5 beers near the tennis courts, where exactly?

Thanks and good luck!
