Can people do some research before naming players to be included. Gysberts is done for the year and Tapscott didn't play last round.

Dropping Watts, what is the point he will gain more experience in the two games at AFL level then he will playing for Casey. Likewise Dunn, can't drop him after one bad game.

Bartram could have a rest imo, his kicking skills were woeful last week. He should of grown some nuts and kicked that goal 30m out on the run. He was looking for any other option but was forced to kick it and missed.

He's been good this year but he's not a player we can take into our future final campaigns.

In: Bate, Maric
Out: Davey (injured)
Bennell - Is hot and cold, goes missing for long periods, has been disappointing recently.

Bruce - If the rumours are true, then Bruce out for Morton. No point playing Bruce if he's already confirmed that he's moving.

You have my vote
however I find it hard to believe Bruce would be wanted by the GC
He has in IMO a couple of season left, GC are intersted in 23 - 26 year olds e.g. Nathan Bock. Bruce is too old for them.

If Bruce is going, he deserves and will get a farewell game... against North obviously, not Port. Hence not much point dropping him for one game. If anything, it would only increase any unnecessary bad blood. Keeping him in the team would say 'we respect your decision, and we're going to give you the send-off you deserve'.

I agree, whats the point of recruiting a 32 year old...perhaps leadership for a couple of years while their draft picks develop

anyone else a bit stunned that newton is in ahead of bate?? he must be very disillusioned now

Wouldn't say ahead of Bate by any means, Bate is a third tall type compared to Newton a KPF/Pinch hitting ruck.

Also seeing as Bate just agreed on a new 2 year deal they are probably giving Newton these last two games to make a final judgment on him.

Newton is in a head of PJ, Bate is irrelevant. Bate needs to get past Dunn, Watts, Green or Jurrah to get a game. Bate has played 1 good game since being dropped. It took Warnock consistent BOG's to get back due to good form of key defenders, its no suprise Bate hasn't made it back when you look at the names in front of him.

The strange decision is dropping Bail. I read the coaches rating of him said he gave away too many free's, so that might be the reason. Other possible reasons could be to qualify him for the VFL (but unsure of this) or for the conspiracy theorists maybe he's off to the coast.

the sooner newton and miller are off the list so we dont have to deal with shit like this, the better. selection dilemmas are great when they dont involve proven spuds
