Well, I would have sworn that Hartlett didn't get near the centre square yesterday, as I don't remember him getting one possession or laying a single tackle from a bounce down. But REH detailed all the occasions he was in the starting centre square mix during the second half. Makes his error-ridden game all the poorer.

As of now, Hamish has conceded more goals to the opposition through stuff-ups, brain fades and turnovers than any other defender, including the much-maligned duo of Jacobs and O'Shea. Since rd 1, he is having a stinker of a season.

Time to pour the acid on him. He's fit. Get him into the guts and demand that he gut runs until he drops.

Yeah I couldn't notice him at all which is sad for such a talented player but he looks fit his shoulders are holding put him in the middle for the whole game

With 4 losses in a row it's time to start rewarding SANFL form

Out:
1 of broadbent or Pfieffer
Pfieffer - did OK but butchered the ball too much so unlucky but he'll make his way back into the team
Broadbent - kicked 2 goals (**** knows how that snap went through) but missing too much and disposal still relatively poor although got into it more yesterday than the previous couple of weeks.

Cassisi - actually said to my mate if he was even playing as had not sighted him all game and this was midway through the 3rd, then he popped up for a few possies. Killing us with lack of producitivity and negative play, we need that spot if he's not performing for someone like Young.

Renouf - looked alright until lack of match fitness killed him, put a couple down the throat of rodan nicely

Schulz - Scum eye gouge move will have him out for a week or two

In: Salopek, Ebert (both good SANFL form), Lobbe/Redden, D.Stewart/Hitchcock (depends if coaches want to replace big for big/small)

Also would like to see Jacobs pushed into the midfield more, he played alright again yesterday but I think he looks much better moving around up the ground so in saying that wouldn't mind if Logan came in to take the backline spot if we push Jacobs up the field which means one less of salopek or ebert coming in.

In
Ebert - has to get a chance with another good game, BOG actually

If he's getting those numbers playing key forward for the Maggies how will this make us better?

Bringing in a 28yo small to jump into and across Butcher and Westhoff in lead/pack situations won't just make us worse but delay our entire development - gameplan - even further.

The last time Ebo played was against Melbourne last year?
I thought he did ok and we had a tall forward line that day.
Surely if he's going alright in the SANFL he should at least get a chance.

Nope watched his last two SANFl games and he wasnt playing key forward at all.
Seemed more Half forward flank, and then a decent amount of time on the ball.

If used properly i think he can play off the half forward flank, lead up the wing and be the one booming it in towards Butch and say Stewy. Plus can have a run on the ball.

Why Power only use him as a Key forward is beyond me. Primus should go out and watch his magpies games more often. And i dont want to hear this crap that he doesnt have the engine for it etc

90% of the time he gets the ball he hits a target, something at least half our 22 cannot do. Shows a class above when getting the ball.
Has a beautiful kick....

Which "youth" are you suggesting we bring in, given current status of who we're playing and our list status. Redden needs to come in, but there's not a lot more "youth" who can be brought in (Moore finding form, Pittard injured, Banner injured, Ah Chee not ready, Blee not ready).

Its easy to say "youth + youth", but that doesn't really tell us anything.

well, i got to 60 and it was good
i tried my best but my mate will win the money

youth. its a low bar you know
i'd say anyone on our list post 2009 should be played full stop
as much as i respect Sal as a person and his attitude (glenelg wtf?) he's a shadow of a player with insufficient pace

is he the future? maybe he is, but then Dom has to go.

sigh. (yellow card plea alert) if we can play oshea and jacobs (can we be honest here people, and be true. they aren't ready okay. im being kind in giving an honest, true assessment- they aren't ready. jacobs physically nor talent wise. oshea has the physical, but doesnt yet know where to position himself.

im just saying if we are giving them 20-30 games with no responsibility, no accountability, no requirement to do anything with the ball more than applauding them for a clean kick over 30 metres (be honest here people, we can't judge a person as good, or 5 / 10, or showed somethig if they just kick it to a player) then why not others?

why didnt we play butcher sooner?
why not lobbe, why not redden?

why did young wait so long?
we just lost so much time and 2011 was yet another wasted year

lets not waste 2012 as well

just do it

dom, i love what you did but you are past it.
Brett Ebert, ditto. you arent a mid and primus doesnt play small forwards, and if he did well, if we play you we have to just put a line through banner, hitchcock and phillips

unless we play you off HBF and swap you with Hartlett, which i can live with too, he's a chalky, like i said Gray was, mr In-out. Clockwork Hamish. Sigh. Here we are debating potential legend players (surely your post Mark Robinson was an irony post?) and not sure if we can play them in the centre

oh my lord. are we THAT bad? is it THAT bad?

names of youth?

any of them

ah chee, blee, any of them. moore

it just doesnt matter

only 2 players have ever made us eat our words at PAFC- surjan- who came back after an off season and his disposal became good, and kane last year

thats all

salopelk wont step up and find it. he's playing reserves FFS, discounting ht epolitics he's playing SANFL. why? ask why we dropped him, and what are we hoping to see when he comes bacK?"

time to be brutally honest on our players friends

boak wont- we've seen his ceiling he isn't a ball getting play making damaging player, he's just a link to guy. fine we know what he is we play to those strenths
hartlett doesnt look like it

pearce can't . not prepared to gut run at the right times,

we lack a mid who can gut run and break tackles
can win clearance after clearance
gray is a flash in the pan
rodan too

judd i know is a machine, but each side has them, players who can do it in all 4 quarters

we learnt to be lazy. no accountability, no heart, and we want to recycle before giving new kids 20 games while giving 30 to others- who have shown they don't have it too!

what is that all about, how will it help us?

why are we relying on renouf? why after 5 years didnt we just play them, give them game time

IF we are giving it to oshea and jacobs, why aren't we being honest with ourselves and playing them all, its the only way they can shine, its the only way we can know, it will also get game time into them

just play them all, start again

we simply must have a super mid. have to. we will be 13th for 10 years if we dont. winning 6-9 a year.

we have to get the picks, pure and simple

yeah its not PAFC, but neither are the imposters out there at the moment

stick young and jacobs in the middle for the game. try it. let them shine, let them fail, just do something different

or, we'll end up at rd 22 with 7 wins and noble tried hard losses and get pick 12, and wont know any more about our team, wont have got game time into them, and won't be anywhere

and i'll post my picture of puxtatawney phil

no more drafting of recycled, just start again.

play them al this week,

come on matthew, you've been there 2 full seasons now. 2 drafts, 2 trades, 2 delists, 3 seasons. make the call. they arent going to come good

dont risk your job on them, i know you are reading this

anyway, like i said there will be changes, i dont believe primus will risk his job on these pretenders any longer and has put lines through names- as we've been saying for 3 years he should have

I would like to see Rodan played as a crumbing forward. He has the agility and can read the drop of a ball. He is incoinstent around stoppages but when he does get it he breaks from a pack and has time to dispose. Let him play the drop of the ball in the I50 and get some snaps on goal. Good person to have standing the mark as well for their kickouts.

He has previoulsy played as a small forward but I don't want him playing out of the FF poistion on leads.

What do you guys think?

Out: Pfeiffer, Cassisi, Renouf, Schulz
In: Sal, Redden, Phillips and maybe Moore depending on how he has been playing in the SANFL.

WE BETTER ****ING WIN THIS. No excuses at all, Richmond at home! Surely we should win.

They've hit some good form the last two weeks, if our players go in with the surely we'll win this attitude we'll have a repeat of the 140th anniversary game schmozzle.

Why Power only use him as a Key forward is beyond me. Primus should go out and watch his magpies games more often.
Has a beautiful kick....

I agree 100% , deserves a game!

Even as a high half-forward/mid I prefer Andrew Moore at this point.

Yeah, watched the DVD of that game again the other night and Matthew Richardson commented on it a few times.

Watch for me in the sight-line behind Meatloaf when goals are scored in Q2.

Instead of playing the hackneyed 2-minute montage of me with loved ones at my funeral one day, I have ordered that footage to be run on loop - with sound - the entire service. Speak up, Reverend!

The only thing that counts going into this game is that we find ourselves 15th for a bloody good reason. The only non-newbie below us is Melbourne.

Right now, we are exactly where we were this time last year on the win-loss ledger. A home loss to GC virtually ruined our season at about this stage.

Fast forward 12 months. Same fate?

Moore over Ebert?
Really. Based on what exactly? Age can only be the only factor in Moores favour??
Eberts SANFL form is streets ahead of Moores and his Skills right now are more then streets ahead....
Sick of youngsters getting a free pass based on age...

I see 3 changes for this week.

Out: Pfeiffer, Broadbent (om.), Schulz (inj)
In: Thomas, Ebert, D.Stewart

Primus also needs to

. Back his players by not playing extra men in defence.
. Move Hartlett and Pearce to centre and wing respectively to generate more run in through the midfield.
. Move Cassisi and Thomas to half back
. Play Rodan as the sub as he does not have the engine to play full-time in the midfield.
. Include Jacobs and Young in midfield rotation

Cassisi has absolutely zero of the attributes required to play half back. Too slow to defend, poor decision making and disposal preventing him from rebound. He'd be awful at it.

If he's not in the square he needs to be tagging the opposition half back or out of the side.

Depends what you mean by streets ahead.

If you mean one game plays a blinder, then has a non-existent game the next week... yup, Ebert has Moore covered.

If you're saying the first 3 rounds where Moore averaged ~24 touches + 1 goal a game and then finally got promoted into the senior side where he not only scored 2 goals, but he also laid 6 tackles (Ebert only got 1 tackle) is streets behind Ebert, yup Ebert has Moore covered.

But I don't agree with you at all.
