Jetta is shit fullstop

Watch the last 5mins against the Pies, everyone remembers his fumble, what about the goal to put us within 8 points and his tackles which eventually ended in Davis kicking out on the full only for Dyson to slot it and put us back within 2 points.

He's 20 years old with 25 games to his name!

I'm not sure what some Essendon supporters are expecting.

ive read that the saints may bring maguire back in as a forward for this week.

the question needsto be asked if they do that should we bring hurley in earlier then expected?

kosi, reiwoldt, maguire. we only really have pears and hooker as KP players and i dont like the idea of using mcphee as a KPD.

reiwoldt - pears, kosi- hooker and maguire - hurley seem pretty good match ups on paper.

Swap those around IMO. But still I think Kozi is too big for Pears, pity Fletch is out

Hurley only played about half a game in the VFL last week so he won't be back this week. I do agree though, he would be quite useful against the Saints. As much as I don't like the sound of it I think McPhee will have to play a KP down back especially if Maguire is playing up forward as it's being reported.

Now now Hulk. First, I'm not comparing Zak and Jetta. I was simply suggesting that you should be rational about weighing up Jetta's performance rather than judge whether he deserves to be in the side on the basis of one fumble. There were many terrific things he did in that particular game that warranted his inclusion in the side the following week.

I was applying the rationale you suggested, to Zaharakis, simply to show you why I didn't think it was appropriate. I didn't do this to compare the two players, though inadvertently, I can see how you arrived at this conclusion.

FWIW, at the moment Leroy wouldn't be in my best 22 because he's carrying an injury. I'm one of these people as well who thinks it depends on who we play. If we're talking about raw ability... tough call. He might be on the fringe. On a good day he's in. Davey and Jetta working in tandem around the heels of the bigger lads, to me, seems like it would invite opportunities. Add their tackling pressure and we've got a couple of blokes who could be very difficult to contain. Might sound corny, but sometimes I think Jetta plays better when he acts rather thinking about the act, if that makes any sense. He seems to put too much thought into it, rather than just letting his ability take him.

Did you favour Houli in the forward pocket? I don't remember. Who ever did, I don't know how I feel about that yet. He has a terrific long kick... I think I'd prefer him as a utility. He could be valuable at hb or hf, pinch hitting midfield... regardless, it was good to see that he seemed to lose some of that fear of contact. Was it Hodge he took front on?

Anyway, take a chill Hulk. I'm not attacking you.
Alls good mate, you could be onto something about Jetta thinking too much! As i posted last night an ultra reliable insider told me no change but?? who knows what could happen specialy with Mcguire roumored to be playin he did play forward in vfl last week and looks very fit??

After a big loss this year, has been a loss...so wouldn't be a surprise to see a loss i guess..

Usually you can tell after 10 mins which dons side has turned up. If they play like they did last week they will win.

In: $50
Out: $262.50

:p

Matthew Knights has rewarded his players following Friday night's big win against Hawthorn by naming an unchanged line-up to take on St Kilda at Etihad Stadium.

The Bombers play on Sunday so Knights has named Jay Nash, Leroy Jetta and Tyson Slattery on an extended interchange bench.

"Cale Hooker and Tayte Pears will probably be thrown another big challenge this week against Nick Riewoldt and Justin Koschkitzke. We've got Adam McPhee down there as well who has been playing some solid football and amongst the three of them they'll get to look at those two big players. Both are in pretty good form. Riewoldt is moving the best I have seen him for the past twelve months. He looks injury free with that knee and he's running really well and we're going to have to combat that."
