Preview Changes vs Swans

I have no confidence in Sando swinging the axe but it needs to be done. So much deadwood to clear out from this team.

Out: Pods (old, slow, done), Porps (finished, you were a good servant but your time here is done), Shaw (not AFL standard), McKernan (ditto), Jaensch, B. Crouch :(

In: Laird (need some mongrel back there), M. Crouch, Jenkins (couldn't be worse than Pods surely?), Lyons (why was he dropped in the first place?!), Lynch (may as well), CEY/Cameron (bring in one of them)

How far away are Lynch and Otten?

Actually, scrap that. Bring in Lynch I say.

Mckernan gets another week, he was pretty good last week and we dont have anything else. Crouch is lucky but he needs game time.

Out- Pods and Porps- fork in them sadly
Jaensch- unless we play him on the wing he doesnt play

In- Tex- im very serious, if hes good to go he plays because even at 60% hes better than the alternative.
Knight- out of left field but his pre season has been great and he can run and run
Laird- goes with saying.

If Tex is no go the JJ plays

Tex is no chance for weeks. I don't care how badly we are playing, he doesn't come into the senior side until he is 100% fit.

We cannot afford for him to re-injure his knee and lose him for another 12 months. It's not going to happen.

Sub is a tough gig.

There are half a dozen guys in the gun sights before him:
Pods, Smack, LJ, Jaensch, Shaw, Reilly. Even Danger and Crouch stank more.
He did nothing against the Cats and him being the sub today meant that he was on notice. He didn't provide anything and should/will be dropped as a result, and could have very well played his last game.

Could we drop Lyons any further, I think not being able to dump him to u'15's was the issue. Need to give Reilly 4 weeks to get his mojo back and porps 2 more. Pods is a contested marking machine, so he gets 3 more to get his mojo back as well. Drop anyone who hasn't played at least 100 games and the job is done.

If he is fit to play SANFL which was the rumour then its good enough to play anywhere.

Crouch Jr wont play, our inside mids were fine and he doesn't provide run, ill say it again..... pick Riley Knight

I think we'll promote Lyons so that we can drop him again

Is Sando going to let himself sink with the same players who keep letting him down?

He's got the security of a lengthy contract.

Please let's see something different at selection. Matt Crouch, Charlie Cameron at the least.

Lyons was sub last week and in just over a quarter he got 9 touches, 4 clearances and 4 tackles and still got dropped. Porps was awful. Pods was terrible and looks to be a massive waste of a trade. Forward structure however was completely non existent.

In: Crouch, Laird, CEY, we deserve to play a man down til Tex comes back for being so ratshit

There should not be debate over whether Porps stays or not, he gave us nothing, far less than Lyons last week. Furthermore there should be no debate because he shouldn't have played today to begin with, an obvious mistake at the selection table.

Whilst I was supportive of getting Pods as a stopgap until Walker comes back, he has given us very little and considering where he is at career wise there's no point in persisting with him at the cost of getting games into Jenkins. I'm still glad that we got him but only because I have hope that he will be of value to us off the field, ideally to replace Bicks as our forward line coach.
