I personally think Jurrah once he gains match fitness will be very effective on the wing, could easily break linesand a reliable mark. Also with Jurrah on the wing Watts may be more reclined to stay a bit more at home Inside 50.

If he was any more reclined he'd be asleep. :p

I don't want Ricky Petterd dropped, yes he was terrible but chucking him back and forth does him no good. He had an extended good spell at Casey, therefore deserves more than one chance at AFL level.

Yes he had an extended spell at Casey which is why when he was given a game at Melbourne he should of taken his chance, he didn't which is why he gets dropped, can't reward players for playing crap, take your chances or go back to the VFL

TPM, what has Watts proved since being in the VFL? What do we now know that we didn't a fortnight ago? Nothing! He is still doesn’t attack the footy, just because he's too good for VFL football shouldn't mask the fact he is yet to learn his lesson. Nothing has changed and nothing will if you don’t follow through with your threats.

Also bringing in serial ball butcher Joel MacDonald for anyone based on disposal is insane (excludes Barts). Yep Tom fluffed a couple of kicks over the past few weeks, but he has years of doing it till he get to the Joel MacDonald hall of fame.

I know, that's why I said he shouldn't be back in the team this week.

Maybe you shouldn't jump to conclusions?

JMac's disposal is better than Tom's; he also takes risks and will win contests most times the ball goes his way.

Tom has laid one tackle over the past two weeks.

Neeld at least give us a reason to watch the game! I know we'll get smashed but don't select long gone old timers like Dunn or Green or Bate..

We want to see youngsters play.
In- Blease, Taggert, LJ, Nicholson

Out - any old hacks

Edit: ughh won't be on free to air :/ neeld pick whoever u want :P

Cook still needs a lot more time, he's missed almost all the pre-season and is nowhere near match fit.

He's a project who shouldn't be rushed, think of him based on how Watts should have been handled.

Just remembered something else.

- Another bullet for Neeld if he continues to play Sylvia predominantly forward, Col is great in spurts of forward but can't get involved in the game enough. Give him a chance to go get the pill instead of having to wait for it to get butchered upon entering our attacking 50.

Is it sad that I laughed at that for a good minute??

****ing Melbourne. :(

Just a note lads - some of the names that have been popping up (notable Trengove, Moloney, Davey and Bennell) were actually amongst the best tacklers last night (four I mentioned were top four tacklers, 10, 8, 6 and 5 respectively). It's not all about possession + butchered possession.

To be fair I don't think Col is match fit yet after that injury he sustained at the end of the pre-season. I think they are so desperate for a bit of class that they rushed him straight back in. He will get better, and play more midfield, in the coming weeks.

And with Cook - harsh to compare him to Watts when this is only his third season and he spent most of the summer injured. I still think he has an important role to play going forward and, being relatively new, will be able to learn the game plan quicker than most.

Out: spud, dud, disinterested downhill skier, hack

In: dud, spud, marshmallow, hack, fringe vfl player

I don't mind these but I'd throw list clogger in there instead of marshmallow on the smaller SCG.

As for Couch, has played 5 good games for Casey, yet can't get a spot in the senior side. Why the **** not? He deserves to be in the side more than some of the others.

This confuses me every week. Apparently Couch's role is very similar to Magner, but TBH I wouldn't mind 2 Magners in the team.

Hmmm watts and Jurrah being onthe wing.... could be good.

Problem is we have more "Magner's" in the side with Moloney, Jones and McKenzie. Sylvia and Trengove can play that role also. There is no room for the bloke.

Well Impromptu, would you mind adding a slow and one-dimensional clearance player to the slowest and most one-dimensional midfield in the league?

Agreed!

How are they going at the minute?

Then what the **** did we recruit the guy for, if we already have too many?

I would rather a guy go in and get the ball, than someone pussy footing a contest.

Davey has been playing kick to kick. His posessions are not giving our team any scoring advantage. Couch to come in for Davey please.

Yeah, let's drop Davey, one of the only blokes who can regularly hit a target and leave in all the blokes that can't as they have been super damaging with their disposals.

Syrus - fair point but the bloke was recruited as depth. He has been in good form but the only bloke he could possibly come in for right now is Moloney and he is doing just enough to keep his spot. I think his time will come.

Hey there, completely off topic, but I'm new here and was wondering when I'm able to create a thread has I think i have a really good topic for discussion and would love to put it out there

So far this year he is averaging 11 disposals, 0.8 goals, 6.8 kicks. I'm quite sure he is one of the highest paid at our club? Having said that though, there are a lot of players averaging fairly dismal stats this year.

You're probably right though CFH re davey. I just want someone who's going to have a fair dinkum crack. :(

Think you need 50 - 100 posts up your sleeve to do that. Check all the topics first to make sure it's different to the rest that are already out there.

Guitarded - I think Couch will get his chance as the season progresses but we can't drop players with good pace and decent skills as we don't have a great deal of them.
