CHANGES VS THE SINNERS.

Am i too late? Sorry, I had to duck out to the shops after the game.

We can't play Kersten and Tabs together in the same team. I am not sure there is much to be gained from that swap. They are equally crapola IMHO.

Rubbish. Taberner is no star by any stretch, but he actually competes and provides a target. You wouldn't kick it to Kersten if he was on his own inside 50 with no-one else forward of centre.

It also means McCarthy can be used as the roaming forward instead of the inside 50 target. McCarthy is playing the same role as Hawkins, Lynch, Daniher, Kennedy etc and he's just not suited to it.

Kersten out Sandi in
If Fit Fyfe in Sheridan out.
If Fit Landgon/Hughes in for Crozier (too inconsistent goes missing fro long periods)

Walters McCarthy Darcy
Ballas Cox De Luca(if fit)

Questions over fitness of Ballas, Deluca & Brad H

I think suban did enough o be retained
Too tall for mine. McCarthy and Cox as the forwards will kill us. Neither of them have experience. Tabs has to come in to at least provide that target. Don't think Cox will help McCarthy, just like Kersten isn't helping either.

What's up with Ballas and Brad Hill? Didn't see that

Play Tab in AFL for the rest of the season , if he don't perform delisted him .

In report after game they were listed as Ballas = Foot?, Brad=Leg?

I am not sold on either of them. I think the root cause of our forward problems is a lack of system and set-up. We need to find something that works with the same core group and not chopping and changing. Otherwise we will just end up saying "Tabs out, Kersten in" in a couple of weeks time.

Cox has a bit of nous in his play. Keep him. Drop Kerten.

Ballaz up forward- he was showing leadership. He was good today.

Ryan can go back to the wafl. Logue aswell.

Think Ryan and Logue should play out the season. Only played 8 games all up. If we let Sutcliffe, Sheridan, Ibbotson played so many games. Then these two are worth persisting with

That's true, and I posted earlier that you've got to let these developing Fwds have some bad games to build an understanding etc. - but you can't leave Kersten in after the past two games (and not too much before that). The whole fwd line looks lost, but Kersten doesn't even know what game he's playing. Unless he's doing something magical that we don't know of that Ross wants him to, there is no way known he should stay in that team. Tabs maybe in, or just play Darcy and Sandi together (if the latter can get up).

Out: Kersten (has the presence of a limp lettuce leaf)

In: Anyone not named Kersten.

He needs to go but our options aren't particularly inspiring. Tabs will probably get the gig but he hasn't earned it with his WAFL performances. I'd rather try Logue up forward. Not much height but a forwardline of McCarthy/Cox/Logue at the very least keeps the opposition guessing. As always though the effectiveness of the forwardline, no matter the personnel, will be determined by the quality of our forward entries. Which don't look like improving anytime soon sadly.

You have it basically exactly backwards.

The quality of our forward 50 entires looks shocking because we have no forward structure. You can't expect every entry to be a lace out pass to a lead. Most entries are going to be to a contest. You need people in the forward line who can win those contests.

Don't mind Cox,logue and cam Mac combo if freo is playing Sandi and Sean Darcy.

Out: McCarthy, Kersten, Suban, Sheridan
In: Fyfe, Sandi, Hughes, Nyhuis

McCarthy and Kersten both underperforming and could use a few WAFL games for confidence. Think McCarthy has a future, not sure about Kersten.

Suban and Sheridan just don't improve so stop wasting games on them.

Leaves a weird forward line but whatevs.

Walters - Cox - Deluca
Ballas - Darcy/Sandi - Mid rotation (Fyfe, Mundy, Neale)
If fyfe it fit, bring in Langdon

That forward line wont keep anyone guessing. They will know the answer every bloody time.

Its the hit up 35-50m out passes. The long option looks good when you turn it over on the pass.

Fk all options.

I don't think we lost anything by not playing an injured Fyfe today. I think we should rest S Hill next week until he is 100 percent

Thought SHill looked a touch better than he did before the bye. He shouldn't have bothered coming back until this game. Not sure why we push these guys in (though they put their hands up too of course) when there's not much to be gained at this stage.

How the hell then freo at one stange leading 50 point then .

Do people realise that Kersten is our second leasing goal scorer this year? We don't have the luxury of dropping him. It's not like McCarthy or Tabs have found it easier. We need to fix our delivery more than anything.

He's kicked 1.1 goals a game while doing literally nothing else.
Taberner has kicked 1.6 a game while also playing in the ruck.

Taberner provides nothing I would rather Darcy and Sandi providing the option if Sandi comes up.

I don't disagree, but we don't have a choice. Kersten has had 26 possessions and 1 goal in his last 4 games. Aside from that, he's not even halving the contests he's in, he's getting outmarked far too often. He's also a defensive liability - he can't even use the Mayne defence, he's had 5 tackles in the last 4 weeks.

I certainly don't want to see him delisted, but as it stands now you could put anyone on the list in his position and they couldn't do any worse.

Too much pressure on Darcy. OK it was an impressive debut as a ruckman to fill in for an injured Sandi, but to be already talking about him as a forward is too much.

Sandilands forward is not the answer either. I mean come on, in 250+ games and 15 seasons, when has he ever dominated as a forward? For all his size he doesn't make many marks, he doesn't read the play well enough and is often caught out of position at the drop of the ball. He averages 3.6 marks per game (less than 1 mark per quarter) over his entire career. He is not the sort of guy who is going to turn our fortunes around by standing in the goal square and playing to his weakness.

If we are going to drop Kersten maybe it should be for a more mobile medium size player, with good skills and smarts. That changes up the structure a bit, but it might upset the balance for a lack of talls.
