Blease scares the opposition if he gets the ball anywhere on the ground when he has space to move, the problem being this only happens once or twice a game

but Roos will want stability and keep to the same structure to how we want to play.

Yes, Armitage got a bath. But unfortunately we had too many losers out there. Howe got slaughtered.

We really need Gawn in to help Spencer out in the ruck, plus he can go forward and hopefully kick a few (cant be any worse up there than Pedo was)

Viney is a no brainer if fit, he will add another rotation to our Midfield and could rest forward if need be.

Blease adds some pace, probably start as sub but hopefully could spend the second half or so in the forward line.

I have refrained from commenting on Howes game because unless you were at the ground its hard to tell what his work rate was like, he may have led to a tonne of awesome spots only to have rohan bail kick it over his head, Pedo made it to about a dozen more contests but that could just be a result of only kicking to him

Close to my thinking, had to edit it as I clicked post before listing any outs. Would love to see Kent in but feel we will only see 3 changes max this week.

Gawn for Fitzy if he isnt fit otherwise would keep Fitzy in over Pedo. the other 2 i agree with 100%.

In that case maybe its not too much of a stretch to say the Richo out coached Roosy , I think teams will persist with that strategy then because if you stop Howe you stop us up forward so id like to see them maybe have Trengove out of the goalsquare

If we had the cover I think lynden dunn would be able to kick 3-4 goals up forward but we dont have the depth down back to cover him, its gonna be a huge problem how we manufacture goals against a much better midfield and defence next week

Was at the game, most of the time it was hard to even tell where Howe was, I have no idea what he was doing, not much obviously. A few of us ended up deciding he must've been crook or injured somehow. Not sure why he didn't get thrown into the middle for a few minutes to get him going, maybe he did and just had no impact...

Likewise, was at the game and literally only saw him half a dozen times all night.

I know he rolled an ankle in the second just after fitz but in truth he wasnt hitting any contests at all from the TV, I guess we can say its as bad a game as he has played for the MFC when we really needed him

Bail was horrific, no one excused him of not working hard but the amount of times he butchered the ball around 70m's from goal was devastating

Going out on a limb here but Tappy could be useful. The Eagles are all big boys and we need someone who can either mark and kick straight up forward or compete with gorillas down back. Tappy has done both with varying degrees of success.

From Casey reports I've read, the (only) 3 ready to come in are Gawn, Jetta and Blease, though Michael Evans seems to have had a good game as well. Gawn would be a certainty, so perhaps Blease for JKH, and Jetta for someone … Mitchie?
