Apparently the Eagles have gone in big for Bomber Riley, offering him plenty of money, I can see him going.

As for Bohdan, I think I can remember Bailey saying something about having spoken to him about pre-season fitness intentions so I doubt he will leave.

Reliable or not I like those changes, Riley was too Daniher, and he was our defensive coach for all those years and look where that has got us, good luck to him if he gets a pay rise.

Babacheck under threat = good, do feel sorry for him this year with a number of collision injuries but the management of Whelan, Moloney, Rivers probably Davey (hammy's around round 18-21) and others could be improved, and the fitness base is part of that.

Mahoney, the football journeyman, sounds alright. Whats the likely setup bee dee?

Forward - Mahoney
Midfield - Williams
Backline - ???
Ruck - ???
Development ??? Can we afford one?

Do you have any news on Connolly's role, does he still have a coaching role with the players in any way.

We need to bring Todd Viney back as our midfield coach. He may not be 'head coach' material but he did a hell of a lot with our midfield in 2000, our Grand final year. That year Viney developed our midfield into the most potent midfield in the comp.

mark doran put all of this to air just after 3pm on SEN today, was talking to Steven Alessio, and Josh Mahoney came on as well, and Doran mentioned that Brett Ratten wants Mahoney (as anything Port Adelaide has atm turns to gold with Ass. Coaches) and Riley because he is a very good Ass.Coach

and the babuchek one is expected, as Bailey will choose his own team!!!

as for mark reily, i agree that it is time to go because we need to start fresh and it would be good for his career as a coach.
mark williams can stay, get rid of curran for someone else. i think that conolly should be the right hand man of bailes but not actually have a coaching job. that way, he can oversee that everything is going well

Yep, Viney would be a good move!.. but we need to keep him. Has anyone noticed our turnover of midfiled coaches in the last 5 or so years? I thought Ratten had promise but he's gone, we had Rock and he left, it is just a matter of time before Williams leaves too. This doesn't help the head coach at all.

Looking back at this, bee dee was spot on about the first two, I'm just hoping something is done about this bloke and he really is under threat. Doesn't seem to get the job done.

Yes i heard BAD BAD REPORTS about him b4 we even got him, just because a guy is known as a fitness expert doesnt mean he is...........have a look at the cats...............got rid of there trainer who is now sueing them and they have barely had an injury with the new one this year.............todays modern football requires modernly trained professionals trainers, old school ones just dont seem to get the job done any more...........i say sack him now and get a new one b4 pre-season starts.............another year of soft tissue injuries and i will be calling for his head
