I sat in the Blue and White Brigade (Melbourne Victory's no 1 cheer squad) against Newcastle today. While i was chanting away, I was thinking what a good idea it would be to see each team's AFL cheer squad chanting like the soccer. If their words were loud enough then even their teams supporters across the stadium could get involved and sound spectacular which would give the game more life especially if there are 90,000 people at the G.
So i ask, do you think the cheer squads should organize and rehearse some chants so that people could get involved or is it a bad idea?
If you like the idea, just for fun, please tell a chant you think might go well. It can be a chant that has already been done for the soccer just with the words rearranged.
Heres an example for my club.
We are the Carlton
The Mighty Carlton
And we are mental
And we are mad
We are the loyalest
Footy supporters
The world has ever had
